Had some bloody dismal weather today in PER, and to think it was bloody hot yesterday! Oh well, didn't stop 3 of us heading out into the rain :lol:

Emb-120 VH-NIF (Operated for NIFty Mines) sites patiently next to VH-NHA and -TWZ. E120 VH-TLZ was in the hangar behind, but unfortunately VH-NHZ which entered service only yesterday was on the opposite ramp

I just love the way the speedbrakes work on the Fokker 100.. nice one there gibby.. :)

Bet the weather was real showery with gusty winds ?

 

KLC only use the speedbrakes in these conditions (> 21 knots of winds); of another note: AB (D-AGPK) was using the speedbrakes on- and off a few times during the descent into CDG last sunday-morning - it's like throwing an anchor into the sea / you could really feel the reduction in speed :mellow:

Spot on. This way they can remain fast down final, as in a strong wind, the slower you are the more vulnerable you are to the winds power.

 

Perth is losing all scheduled 747-400's this coming weekend. However in its place is domestic 743's!!
