Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted March 22, 2006 Bet the weather was real showery with gusty winds ? KLC only use the speedbrakes in these conditions (> 21 knots of winds); of another note: AB (D-AGPK) was using the speedbrakes on- and off a few times during the descent into CDG last sunday-morning - it's like throwing an anchor into the sea / you could really feel the reduction in speed
Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted March 23, 2006 Bet the weather was real showery with gusty winds ? Spot on. This way they can remain fast down final, as in a strong wind, the slower you are the more vulnerable you are to the winds power. Perth is losing all scheduled 747-400's this coming weekend. However in its place is domestic 743's!!
