Nick C 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 Nice Nick White is nice... great background However... size of images is a bit over.. maybe could resize Thanks. I prefer to upload images at this size to allow viewers to appreciate the beauty of the aircraft rather than having them squinting their eyes at something set at 600 * 400. One word to describe, AMAZING ! Thanks. Nice pics there, the WHITE should be operating for Air Niugini, as it fly to HKG as well, once a week. superb nick c , the white not bad Thanks. Yup. It was heading for Brisbane. Unfortunately if you examine the fuselage closely you will notice it's somewhat noisy. Not really good on exposure. DAmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmnnnnn SHARP nick!! Fantastic shots!! What lense are you using htere Nick? 70-200 L ? must see what camera as well look at the EXIF Lens used was a 200mm prime. I live the 'SWEET' livery Thanks. LeeCH 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Nick, nice photos from YSSY. A question though. What is your ISO setting for all the shots above? Cannot quite believe MKII has such number of noise there. Is all the spotting locations easily accessible or you are shooting from airside? If it is easily accessible I may request a trip down under then. Thanks. Nick C 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 1D mk II + 200mm 2.8 Prime .. Yikes ... Razor sharp Too sharp when I have to shoot models. Too much details. I can see the facial hair Nick, nice photos from YSSY. A question though. What is your ISO setting for all the shots above? Cannot quite believe MKII has such number of noise there. Is all the spotting locations easily accessible or you are shooting from airside? If it is easily accessible I may request a trip down under then. Thanks. Thanks Chee Hong! ISO 200. It's quite noisy from the pulling in Camera Raw to boost the colours due to the incredibly bad weather we had that day. Do make a trip to Sydney! Excellent spotting here. No harassment at YSSY from the police unlike WSSS. You need a car to get to the spotting locations though.
LeeCH 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 OK thats great since we do B77W runs down south these days. Will work it out but I will try to avoid winter months. I'm on SQ234 SYD - SIN B773ER on 27/09 *hint* *hint* You will have lots of flies accompanying you in late Oct/Nov Edited March 31, 2008 by Nick C
LeeCH 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 September? Possible. Can be arranged. So when will be the best time for CAVOK yet little or no flies at all?
Nick C 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 September? Possible. Can be arranged. So when will be the best time for CAVOK yet little or no flies at all? Sydney weather is rather unpredictable. It has been CAVOK for the past week but the previous week was BAD! I would say Late February to Early April & Last August - Early October will be the best times to spot with CAVOK. Victor A. 2 Report post Posted April 1, 2008 would it be possible to spot from the terminal, Nick? is there any nice place to spot a/c from inside the terminal building itself?
Nick C 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2008 I miss spotting near the Tower...still has high ground there? Nice Not high enough now. They installed new lighting poles which blocks an unobstructed view of 16R. would it be possible to spot from the terminal, Nick? is there any nice place to spot a/c from inside the terminal building itself? There's an observation deck but good enough for casual viewing and not photography.
