kianhong 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 Traffic on the fine 24 Nov 2007 morning before the big bang. Prop tip vortices. Rolling for 03 departure. Blast off! Then this Socata Trinidad GT with ah moi sitting at the back. Probably flying back to Subang. Indonesian Police's Hawker 400XP used for VIP transport. First surprise of the morning, a CASA C-212-100 Aviocar operate by Deraya Air. Following Deraya Air was the 2nd surprise... Layang Layang Aerospace AN-38-120. Only 11 produced so far. Dutch Lady walked on grass. Almost missed this Embraer Lagacy 135... she landed right in front when I was running back from lunch. Mriya's little brother departed around 12:35hrs. Very early rotation! Third surprise of the day! Pelita's Fokker 100 departure. A first big jetliners departure for me. Early rotation too for such big aircraft. Finally Deraya Air departed too at 14:06hrs. Phew... Thanks for viewing.
kianhong 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 AN38-120... long time din saw her already... anyway, thanks KianHong. especially those night shots! Eh... I thought she is based in BKI? Noticed recently that the AN-38 visits Seletar on quite a frequent basis. Saw her departure last nite when I was shooting Seletar nite scene. The light trail left behind by the departing An-38. kianhong 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2007 (edited) Remember her? Look like former VT-JNP? After some research, the livery is actually the livery of an Aviation Services Company based in Russia - GazpromAvia. Former VT-JNP had been re-registered to RA-73000 and delivered to this company earlier in September. Another 'new' B737NG for GazpromAvia. Caught her doing compass swing procedures while I was hanging around the perimeter fence. So she gracefully posed for me even though in bad light. Beautiful, isn't she? Port side. Starboard side. Must be the company sticker behind that taped up area. Dedicated this nose shot to Azahan. Happy belated birthday! Caught this C-212 Aviocar too from Indonesia. And that bro over there was waiting patiently for the beauty to finish her 'posing'. Thanks for viewing. p/s: From the past 1 week observation, Deraya Air's C-212 Aviocar (PK-DCQ) and Layang Layang AN-38 (RA-41900) seem to be operating regular daily flight into WSSL. I am wondering where these two fella are coming from? Are they chartered or scheduled flight? Anyone can shed some light? kianhong 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2007 Thanks Greg and Ibrahim. My pleasure. Superb Saturday morning weather especially when it had been raining cats n dogs for the past week. Here's prized catches. My favorite bizjet - Gulfstream 550/GV. Bermuda registered - VP-BIP. Landed exactly at 0830hrs. Sexy. She gave me a before vacating runway via whiskey 2. Following the G-5 was this Cessna 550 Citation Bravo. Another Cessna ... but this time was Cessna junior - C150 from Johor Flying Club. Very nice color scheme, especially the metallic green. Today an unusual move from Tower. Three Piper Warriors was holding at whiskey 3, Tower cleared all three of them to line up rwy03. I was hoping for a formation t/o. But, nah ... better luck next time. After an hour, Citation Bravo departed. A sleak single prop - Cirrus SR22 with composite body and parachute built in! 1000hrs Layang Layang Aerospace's AN-38 came in with Deraya Air's C-212 Aviocar with the latter landed 9 minutes behind. I suspect these two fella are partner in crime. Have seen them come in together a few time. Anyone can shed some light?? For now, the two seem to be operating regular daily flight into Seletar. ETA is around 1000hrs. At last AirMark's AN-32 departed with the usual thick black smoke. Thanks for viewing.
kianhong 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2007 Sunday morning ... I was there since 0820hrs. No movement at all. Until 0920hrs, Seletar Airport Emergency Services decided to practice their water cannon salute. Can shoot very far oohhhh...... 0951hrs, water canon rehearsal on Johor Flying Club C150. 1017hrs No interesting movement at all. My fellow joker suggested that we do panning on the regulars. 1128hrs This Learjet 35A is quite regular to me. 1214hrs After joker left, this Learjet 60 decided to start engine and go! Climbing away. Ehh... cabin door opened on that Thai Air Asia in the background. 12:39hrs My dream came true when she started her CFMs and taxied to whiskey 2. :yahoo: I know someone is cursing big time right now. Power! Power! Power! :yahoo: Looking at the debris being kicked up by this beast on a 1600m runway! :yahoo: This was a delivery flight back to Thailand as Tower bid farewell to her. Bye bye ... please do this more often! Hoe Jyh... Thanks for bringing the beginners luck. Thanks for viewing.
kianhong 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2007 Thanks guys. Glad that u guys enjoy these pix. Wow,... very nice there.... Seletar is also a place to expect the unexpected ehhh... good stuff do come in every now and then... Yup, Iggy. You are right! Always expect the unexpected at WSSL. You never know what you gonna get! Work just like SBZ. ooh...didn't know that seletar is that busy WSSL has a really healthy amount of movements. I'm glad that I'm able to cover part of it or else a lot of rare gems will be just flying in and out unnoticed. Check the following pic out. While running thru photos for rego, I noticed this VT-JNQ. MY question - How many B737NG does this GazpromAvia has? 1. Former VT-JNP which had been re-registered to RA-73000 in September 2007. Source: Airfleet.net. Pic can be seen in Post #56. 2. The RA-73004 which was seen in Post #131 doing compass swing. Could this be a brand new B737NG? 3. Finally this former Jet Airways VT-JNQ. Would be greatly appreciated if anyone can PM me with infos for the latter two. Thanks.
kianhong 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2007 Saturday traffic ... Interesting. Baby King Air. This King Air 200 is special modified and fitted with various digital sensor to acquired digital 3D elevation and aerial imaging. EARL makes WSSL her home base from now on. Awesome RWY 03 approach and landing. Thanks for viewing. Seletar has been a really interesting and special place. Partly because I spent 7 months here and mostly all the surprising traffic that came thru this small aerodrome. With this last spotting session, I concluded my spotting career in Seletar. Will be back if my spot is still there. YPJT! Here I come!

Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted May 20, 2008 Rounding up was a short walkabout round the Fokker hanger area.....bonus was this Mandarin Fk100. Look, what KLC CEO had told tell the staff yesterday: "Dry lease of an additional F100. In order to optimize our aircraft availability in the Summer period, we've decided to dry lease one additional F100. The aircraft is now flying with Mandarin and has been thoroughly inspected by our technical specialists. After carrying out some necessary modifications to the aircraft, we hope to have the aircraft available for operation as per July 1st, 2008. We will operate the aircraft for a 5 month period." Wonder if it's this one, and if so, in what colours it will operate these 5 months !!! So, Kwek or KC: go and get her, before she's off to her old roots at AMS
Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted May 21, 2008 More info is surfacing, guys: It's MSN 11527, meaning B-12295 It will be re-registered PH-MJL and operate for KLC between 01jul08-30nov08, so should be more-or-less depart for AMS, when I'm there in SIN (trip to Seletar possible ? )
Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted May 21, 2008 B-12295 was noted at Seletar on 10th of May by a mate of mine, as well as a sistership. Both were stripped back. Oh, of note, the former AK 733 9M-AAY left XSP the other other day as OY-JTD

kianhong 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2010 Was informed by someone from Perth regarding the delivery flight of Skywest latest Fokker 50 PH-KXH c/n 20249. The aircraft is ex KLM Cityhopper and will be re-registered to VH-FSL once she arrive in PER. Aircraft departed on the dot at 0930 to PER via DPS. Backtracking runway for 03 departure. Rolling runway 03. Rotate! Bye bye! See you again soon. This will prolly be my last update from WSSL as the vantage point overlooking the runway is being bulldozed to make way for new hangar as we speak. I vacated the area immediately after the aircraft departed. Thanks for viewing. Cheers.
Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted February 26, 2010 Fantastic stuff, Kian! I look forward to seeing her arrive from Bali tonight while i'm at work. Out of interest, what was the rego of the JSA bird behind her in your first pic? Thanks mate! Shame your vantage spot will disappear, I love visiting Seletar as every visit you get a new surprise

kianhong 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2010 Woah Woah... where is this vantage spot?? Must go there catch it before its too late! It's already too late. At the time I took these photos, an excavator was pushing down trees and flatten the surrounding areas. I think after this weekend, the place will be closed off for construction of the new hangar. Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted February 26, 2010 Certainly will Kian, I'm intrigued to see it as well. Look out for A320 9V-JSF, which was delivered yesterday (former VH-JQH)
kianhong 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2010 Here's some update from Seletar. The reason for me being there was to photograph all the ex Singapore Flying College Cessna 152 II. Acceptance flights piloted by a friend was carried out. All the six Cessna 152 II are sold to an Indonesian flying school and they will leave Singapore within this week. 9V-FCD wasn't flown due to some technical problems. Additional traffics caught during that period of time was more than welcome. A regular - Batam Logistic AN26 RP-C2639. Dedicate this to Pieter. Deraya Short 330-200. Seems to be a cargo from Indonesia. Odd looking aircraft! Berjaya 'Silver Fly' as Berjaya 338 from Redang Island. Thanks for viewing. Cheers.
Tamizi Hj Tamby 1 Report post Posted March 24, 2010 Nice photos,Kianhong. BTW,You're right about the Short 330;It's a odd-designed airplane! Suddenly reminds me of the Skyvan;the flying box!
