Spot this at Haneda, is it the new design of AeroBridge ?

So, how pax will go to main terminal building ? undergound tunnel ?

bus maybe? i remember LAX had those remote aerobridge where bus will take you there and you walk up the stairs to go to the aerobridge

Most propably by bus...but with underground tunnel is not a bad idea... just pax will have to walk a long long way before climbing up for aerobridges <_<

If pax have to ascend the remote aerobridges by stairs anyway, why have aerobridges at all at remote stands? I mean, can't the pax enter the a/c with just stairs?

Probably to offer better shielding from weather, particularly rain and snow. Perhaps they could also have escalators installed inside ? But sure is a heck of an expensive alternative to the humble steps/truck

then the airport would have charge higher fee for using aerobridge instead of stairs... huhu
