Malaysia Airports in talks to run Middle-East airports

State-controlled Malaysia Airports said on Wednesday it was in talks to manage airports in Oman, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

 

"We are in discussions," to manage the airports in those three areas, Malaysia Airports Managing Director Bashir Ahmad Abdul Majid told reporters. He declined to give details.

MAB can’t even manage Malaysian airports profitably and efficiently. As there isn’t a shortage of talents in the Middle East e.g. DXB, and Saudi and Jordan are more likely to award contract to BAA; doubt MAB will be successful.

 

Probably this is another ploy to boost MAB stock price.

MAB has been bidding for these type of contracts for a long time... I too wonder (and hope) whether they will get these contracts.
