Imran K. 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 The aircraft was undergoing a maintenance test known as "retraction". This involves jacking the aircraft roughly 10-12 feet off the ground, and "retracting" the gears back into the undercarriage to ensure that the landing gear mechanisms, hydraulic actuators, electrical connections and gear bay doors are functioning properly. i love manuals. Imran K. 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2006 So they have to test it numerouus times until it is okay? With regards to that..im not so sure...Samsyuri will have a better idea. However, based on logic...i would expect them to repeat the procedure until any defects are rectified.
