For those of you who didn't know. Honda has been experimenting with Jet engines during the late 90s. I wonder if they will incorporate the VTEC or other fuel saving device (like IMA hybrid engines) into their jet engines

Not really, Seth, as on the Antonov AN72, the engines are not mounted on the wings

They do have some form of resemblance, don't they?

As long as they don't rip the wings off at high speed, then it shouldn't be a big problem, I guess?

Am wondering if placing the engines on the wing would reduce the amount lift generated, and also the fluttering pattern of the engines at cruise speed... Anyone has info on that?
