AFAIK, That's an IL76. Looks like a hush kit has been installed. :pardon:

Would anybody know about that. It seems an IL76 from Air Kyoto

Difficult to tell from this angle.

 

 

Yes, Radzi, I know it really hard to define it just from viewing this photo.

May I ask what is hush kit?????

 

hush kit makes the sound of the engine sweeter. :pardon: kidding aaron. its a noise control device fitted to the engines.

Basically it is some sort of silencer for old jet engines. 707 and 732 are major recipients of the hush kit.

Basically it is some sort of silencer for old jet engines. 707 and 732 are major recipients of the hush kit.

Oh, got the answer already, it is a CAAC IL76 which arrived in HKG on 30/May

Take a look at his CI A330 picture: you'll see it in the distance at the Cargo apron ;)

don't forget the glorious 727 ... ;) :D

 

Wondering if the good old DC-8 and DC-9 were also fitted with these?
