KC Sim 2 Report post Posted April 4, 2006 With 58 Triples actively moving around, King Kong went from being excited about each one to moaning "why isn't it the Star Alliance livery" - especially 9V-SYE which along with 9V-SRE and 9V-SPP decided to give the King the slip. Anyhow, beyond the 58 Triples currently flying, we are staring at the imminent delivery of another 19 B777-300ERs . . . for a grand total of 77 B777s! I can only hope that the upcoming order does not contain more B777s! Here's just a few more images to add to those already posted by Jonathan. Inspired by Azahan's nose shots, I decided to give it a try too . . . starting with the most abundant subject. Here a B777 overtakes a friendly PAL A330-300 landing on 02L from Jakarta. Not to be outdone, a Cathay B777 climbs out for a flight home to Hong Kong. Korean Air's B747-400F came our way while its sistership from Asiana Cargo gave us the slip by departing on runway 02L. And finally, the Bombardier BD-700 Global Express of KP Holdings climb out enroute to Sydney, having only arrived from Moscow about two hours earlier. About the grass . . . less than two weeks ago, you would have seen a deep brown colour. Thunderstorms in the afternoon over the last week has restored the beautiful green coloration that makes for great photography. For all who enjoyed King Kong's shots, I can only say that if you only knew how much he suffered and sacrificed in sleep and rest, you would appreciate his images even more. Kwek 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2006 (edited) Jonathan has shown us the SQ777s which he had an overdose. No harm adding one more 777. Edited April 4, 2006 by Kwek
Denny Yen 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2006 Jonathan has shown us the SQ777s which he had an overdose. No harm adding one more 777. Excellent shots, sharp. Is this from the roadside as well? When I landed in SIN 2 weeks ago, we flew over Changi beach just before touch-down. Is this a good location to spot (using 70-300mm Canon IS USM lens)? Jonathan Kong 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2006 KC and Kwek, you two are real sifu! Kao tow Kao tow! Thanks for the nice accompany and really enjoy my spotting there! When I landed in SIN 2 weeks ago, we flew over Changi beach just before touch-down. Is this a good location to spot (using 70-300mm Canon IS USM lens)? Denny, 70-300mm will be just perfect for spotting there! China Eastern is one of the many Chinese carriers that serve Singapore Tiger roaring for her flight out of Singapore Philippines A330... if only they send this to KUL
