flee 5 Report post Posted May 7, 2015 Quads are fast becoming an endangered species. So here a a couple to share. B744Fs should be around longer than the pax versions. But still, its always nice to see the Queen of the Sky. [b-18722] A rather battered and dirty 9M-MND. How long more will we continue to see it in MH colours? flee 5 Report post Posted June 20, 2015 9V-SSF - this A333 suffered a loss of power on both RR Trent 700 engines while on a SIN-PVG. G-YMML - another aircraft with a Shanghai connection. This livery to commemorate GREAT Festival of Creativity in Shanghai was designed by Chinese fashion designer Masha Ma and depicts bamboo and a rose. Thanks fo Norman for the heads up! Simon 3 Report post Posted June 20, 2015 One question....why are MH planes always dirty compare to other airlines?
Benjamin Ho 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2015 Did some quick spotting from smoking area at KLIA2 towards 14R direction, pretty interesting catch: A scene to be missed soon, AF pulling out of KUL soon Will this livery change: First I got MH's 9M-MRQ then in a very co-incidental chance, SQ divert their BOM-SIN to KUL, also another RQ: 9V-SRQ KLIA2 smoking area is quite an interesting place to spot, but minimum lens zoom is 300mm. Benjamin Ho 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2015 Indeed. 1. SQ arrives almost right after MH. 2. Both have registration RQ. 3. Both are 772.
flee 5 Report post Posted June 22, 2015 One question....why are MH planes always dirty compare to other airlines? Maintenance culture - longer intervals between washes... I also noted that on many B738s, they only clean the area around the doors - the rest of the plane is dirty!

flee 5 Report post Posted June 29, 2015 Many thanks to the ATC and/or pilot(s) who sequenced AK's BIG A320 landing after MH1. Those who attended the Malaysian Wings 10th Anniversary spotting shoot were delighted...

KS Ong 1 Report post Posted July 19, 2015 Two more... Have to be selective when taking these shots. You get nausea/neck ache easily.
flee 5 Report post Posted July 19, 2015 This thread is wonderful - first we got the nose shots. Now we even have "upskirt" shots. I think the quads look so well balanced! Thanks for sharing, KS!
Rashdan Radzi 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2015 Two more... Have to be selective when taking these shots. You get nausea/neck ache easily. Makes for an interesting comparison of wing sweep and high-lift devices!
Mohd Suhaimi Fariz 2 Report post Posted July 25, 2015 Have to be selective when taking these shots. You get nausea/neck ache easily. I think for shots like these you need to bring: 1) Tikar gulung 2) Pillow 3) Food Then you can have a picnic while spotting!
