Radzi 2 Report post Posted April 20, 2016 Got this from somewhere. 9M-MPP will be operating to LHR from 5th May to 26th June 2016 on Day 1 & 3 as MH4/MH1. May, or may not be true. Spotters can be on standby
Mohd Azizul Ramli 2 Report post Posted April 20, 2016 That's good news Azizul. Hopefully soon we win the Jeddah bid too and we can be proud of that as well Good luck in securing the new JED for Malaysia. On paper and considering every factors, especially those of recent, there is no way in 2.6 billion years that MAHB will lose this deal. It's in the bag and for us to lose. BC Tam 2 Report post Posted April 26, 2016 (edited) Is "back up" the same as "gostan" into the hangar?Nope, not judging by that pic with Norman posing nearby the bird Edited April 26, 2016 by BC Tam
RaymondT 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2016 Is "back up" the same as "gostan" into the hangar? Not an auspicious start to a career as a 'back up' vehicle Base on BC Tam's statement, he did not mention 'back up' as the action of the 744, but more towards the function/role of the 744 as a 'stand by/fill in/backup' vehicle. I see. By the way, if the landing gears of the 744 are retracted, can it still be considered as a "stand by" or a "sit by" vehicle?

RaymondT 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2016 Sharing one shot from yesterday ... I normally don't go crazy over the 744 (Personally I find the A345 beautiful), but that is one beautiful angle of the queen. Well done!
zamim 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2016 I see. By the way, if the landing gears of the 744 are retracted, can it still be considered as a "stand by" or a "sit by" vehicle? If B744 landing gears are retracted, it could be: 1. in the air 2. in the hangar on jacks during maintenance check on retraction and extension of gears 3. in the ditch when landing without gears

RaymondT 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2016 the 747 is so beautiful. I hope MAS will use it long term. Provided they first replace that ageing interior, or re-purpose it for daytime short-haul international flights. Anyone knows if the 744 is on lease or owned by MAB?
