Anonymous client put massive order on 777 and 737

New Boeing order of 30 B777 and 15 737 by undisclosed company. Could it be our struggling Malaysia Airlines? For replacement+expansion, 30 B777 sounds about right..

I don't think so! Even with expansion in mind 30 777 is just too much, especially if it's the 77W.

What would MH do with 30 B777s? Most of its routes can be flown by A333s and the long range ones by the A380.

 

If MH wants to order more B737s, they should be the Max variety. And 15 will be too few.

 

I suspect this order is going to Chinese airlines.

The 30 B77Ws are heavily rumoured to be 20 for China Eastern Airlines and 10 for China Southern Airlines, pending China's central administration approval.

 

As for the 15 B737, it could be any airline.
