Some of the highlights...

1) KUA - when AK terminated KUL-KUA years back, everyone might think it will not able to survive. But with the opening of PEN-KUA by FY, we will expecting more growth in passenger movements. Maybe one day, AK will resume the service to KUA!

2) SZB-KBR will be the second busiest route in FY network after SZB-PEN. So its proven that KBR have a potential to be 'gold mine' for regional airlines since the population in KB surged to almost 600,000 in urban area. But, the growth of aviation industry in this State are bound to political factor.

3) There is no changes of flight frequencies on any international destination except, Singapore

4) I supposed FY crews now have chance to nightstop in Singapore. FY3526 SIN-SZB will depart at 7.20pm which i think the 1st sector for the a/c

5) FY resuming flights, from PEN to KBR, TGG and KUA. What a truly community airlines :good:

Most likely a short layover; last flight in, a short stay at the hotel, 1st flight out.

It's a very attractive option for business travellers heading to KL for meetings. I won't be at all surprised to see FY charging a hefty premium for the seats.

Yup, i think KBR have a potiental to be the new hub for FY besides SZB-KBR, PEN-KBR. Might be new potiental routes future is KBR-SIN, KBR-JBH, KBR-LGK, KBR-MED and KBR to some destinations south of Thai. Perhaps bound to policitcal factor doesn't be a more issue in aviation industry and WMKC airport can be approve upgrade to International Airport status.

Does MH codeshare on these flights by FY or any other FY flights? And, if so, do you earn Enrich miles for them?

MH codeshare with FY, but Enrich members are not able to earn miles from FY flights regardless how expensive do you pay for the tickets. For comparison, Qantas frequent flyer can earn miles on their low-cost wing, JQ & 3K. Provided the tickets must be issued under JetFlex.

Oh, ok. That's a shame. MH/FY should follow the same business model that QF/JQ have. I'm sure there are business customers who would fly these FY routes and this would be a way of getting high-yielding passengers if there is an incentive to earn Enrich miles. It just makes sense to me. Anybody else agree?

Actually flying out of SZB is so much better than using the LCCT or KLIA MTB. It is nearer and taxis cost less. So its no surprise that those who want to fly to PEN choose to go via SZB. But for me, I choose to drive - still cheaper and more convenient to do that if you have more than 1 pax going.

Travel by air is much safer rather than by road in malaysia

Yes, of course. Statistically, 13 to 15 fully loaded A380s crash on Malaysian roads with no survivors each year! While I am comforted that air travel is safer, I could still be killed in a crash while driving to and from KLIA!
