Weihong 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2010 Hey guys,i'm here just to share some of the photo i took when i went to the Farnborough International Airshow 2010 yesterday! Picture quality is not that good because i'm just a beginner with my 2months old Canon 1000d with kit lens! Some of the photos are taken by using 600mm lens. It's wasnt mine, just some good, friendly spotter from England offer to pinjam it to me for me to have a try on zoom lens! That was amazing and i'm saving up for it! Haha! There is goes.... flee 5 Report post Posted July 26, 2010 Weihong, Very nice photos for a "beginner"! Fortunately at Farnborough, the public are allowed on the tarmac and it is very close to the runway and you have good take off and landing shooting opportunities. Hope you enjoyed the wonderful Rolls Royce Merlin engines of the Spitfires and Lancaster. Here are the last two pix you posted that did not "come out":

Waiping 12 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 Hi, just to check how's the crowd? Easy to move around within the vicinity of the airshow? Looking at the picnic stuff it seems a rather relax atmosphere, unlike the Singapore International Airshow which is rather crowded.
Ignatius 4 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 I'm saving up for the next fanborough.. FLying D7 wahahaha
S M Tang 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) Alamak the new 787 wherelah? Departed before public display. Probably went back for more tests and certifications. Edited July 27, 2010 by SherM
Waiping 12 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 I'm saving up for the next fanborough.. FLying D7 wahahaha Mind if I tag along? Departed before public display. Probably went back for more tests and certifications. Hmm...doesn't sound right. Even if only for a few potential partners a static display is a must for a huge airshow like this. Looking at the picnic stuff it seems a rather relax atmosphere, unlike the Singapore International Airshow which is rather crowded. Hi,it's very crowded...it's not easy to move around. The place where i stand is just the right spot to take the landing photos... Yes,they are very very relaxing...eating non-stop from 12.30pm to 5.30pm! Tables, chairs, red wines sandwiches,snacks....everything.... Departed before public display. Probably went back for more tests and certifications. Yes you are right! So do the F-22 Raptor....that was real disappointing! Next time must go during trade day! Kip Dawson 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2010 Nice set of photos Weihong............ It's a shame that it is normal for some of the good stuff to disappear before the Public days. Anyway here's a few arriving the week before !! For me the stars of the show...... Pakistan AF JF-17 'Thunder' With their transport, which left for the USA before the show started Do yo have a picture of Turkish Air Force E/B737 AWACS? Especially for Hakan another shot of very attractive looking 'Wedgetail' Alamak the new 787 wherelah? Here's one for Phil M, it was crammed into the static when I was there, so the credit for his shot goes to 'Global Ranger' Just a few more............ Was particularly impressed with the A400M.... not sure which airforce this one is destined for From Nigeria an ATR-42 For the Chilean Navy a Casa 295M From Italy a very nice looking AW-139 and one of the two 'Spartans' and finally from the USA a spooky RU-21 Keith

Hakan 2 Report post Posted July 30, 2010 (edited) Keith/Kip, thank you for TUAF E/B737 picture, we are still waiting to see her over Turkey skies. I think first e/B737 will be delivery in few months. Pakistan AF's JF17 is really interesting. I have to make some reserach about production history of that. It seems "AERITALIA" still very instist to selling old G22 but new make-up G27J! event thay give hunderets names for this plen, they could never sell!I remember, they offered old G22s 20 years ago to Turkish Air Force.. When I quick look it up, that is the same plane except possible new engines and avionics! thanks for the pictures. Edited July 30, 2010 by Hakan
