Sharil Abdul Rahman 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 guys, if the E-4B is at Subang, what is the plane that is currently at KLIA then? O.o just came back from a business trip to penang, and on the way to the LCCT, saw the E-4B parked next to the Raiders plane. any ideas?

Did you see any C-17's there? If there was indeed another E-4B in KUL, where did the SECDEF disembark from?

O.o just came back from a business trip to penang, and on the way to the LCCT, saw the E-4B parked next to the Raiders plane. any ideas? Perhaps there's several E-4Bs in this region at the moment because POTUS will be arriving in Jakarta today. High level of USAF movements around South East Asia since the past few days. Yesterday, about six C-17s overflew Malaysia to Jakarta Halim and U-Tapao received thirteen C-17s. One of the Boeing VC-25 could also be on stand by around Malaysia/Singapore. Similar situation like the VC-25 which went to BKI in 2000, while Air Force One was in Brunei.

Come to think of it, it makes sense. I remember when POTUS was in S'pore, there were quite a few USAF planes in KUL. For all we know, VC-25 might be coming into SZB too! That'll probably be my spotting highlight, to capture VC-25.

O.o just came back from a business trip to penang, and on the way to the LCCT, saw the E-4B parked next to the Raiders plane. any ideas? Another E-4B was detected in the skies today, perhaps the one you saw most likely 73-1676 operating as "HUGE 25". Reported that the C-17 which arrived SZB today operated as "Reach357". Rumoured that five C-17s will overfly Malaysia tomorrow from U-Tapao to Jakarta Halim. Edited November 9, 2010 by MIR

Woooww....that's a lot of C-17s flying around above us this few days and not to mention the number of E-4Bs and the likes of An-124s. Thanks MIR for the info. Jonathan Kong 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2010 Busty25 (E4B) departed Subang at 09:18 am via runway 33, subang radar one departure. Rotation was in front of Arafah Restaurant. 3 spotters got it. spotter name MDSaleh has the most perfect, level and sharp picture. Congratulation to him. By the way, Busty25 took off with endurance in excess of 20 hours. that's what you call long haul. Update: Reach 357 (C17) just departed Subang at 10:16 am. Victor A. 2 Report post Posted November 10, 2010 You mean the E-4B departed already?! That's a pretty short trip for the SECDEF. not only the SECDEF made a short trip, even the POTUS is spending only 24hrs in Indonesia. after all no point for the SECDEF to spend so much time in KUL and they're not here for sightseeing...
