S M Tang 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2009 The Pilatus looks pretty harmless to me but look at the pilots inside! I bet I could cut the cockpit out and paste it on the SU-30 and nobody would realize the difference! Haha.. Hope you guys are enjoying yourself in WMKL. I'm stuck here at home sitting for SPM. FML. Kip Dawson 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2009 Excellent shots Chaity, keep on posting. Very interesting the new CM model. How many of the eight have been delivered ? The other MB-339AM's are flown by 15 Sqn, is this a new squadron (certainly new squadron markings) for the new model and are they still based at Butterworth ? Any chance of posting a full log of what has arrived. Cheers Kip

As for the aircraft in LGK, I guess the list in LIMA09 website is quite accurate. Awaiting for other members to post the more recent photos here.

Naim 6 Report post Posted December 2, 2009 Retiring soon, but flown all the way from its Brisbane base for this penultimate show. Final show is at the Singapore Air Show early next year. [02/12/09:1107h] The RAAF F-111s are to be replaced by the Super Hornets in 2010. The nozzle between the outlets squirts fuel out which is burnt for the spectacular effect above. . Naim 6 Report post Posted December 3, 2009 Views of the brand new Aermacchi MB339CM at LGK yesterday. Can double up as a fighter-bomber, if needed. RMAF ordered 8 planes, 2 were flown from Italy, while 6 arrived in crates. The stout guy at extreme left is a trainer and he flew one of the 2 planes all the way from Italy to Kuantan, doing 5 stops along the way. Very nice chap and very knowledgeable (what am I talking about? of course he's a guru, he's the trainer!).
