Victor Ralk 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 (edited) Nice set of pics Lukas, love the blink blink light on the OQA Did they allow cockpit visit for the A380? Nope. Would have made my day if they did...On the VA 777 you could take a peek, as well as the QF 747 today apparently... The VA cabin is just so modern and amazing, great config, leaves the QF 747 cabin for dead. Edited March 15, 2009 by Lukas Mahoney
Cornelis Boersma 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 (edited) Nice interesting traffic!!!! My eye dropt on this picture NZ7571 or NZ7572 I flew both of them as ex PH-TKA and PH-TKB in service of its first operator: Transavia Airlines! If I ever get the change I hope to see them again in this nice kiwi livery! http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt316/A...an/IMG_3582.jpg Edited March 15, 2009 by Cornelis Boersma

I saw both NZ7571 and NZ7572 at Whenuapai (Auckland) Airshow in 2007. Her climb rate is quite amazing each time I saw them performing! I think both NZ7571 and NZ7572 had received a cargo door at the front. Last time I saw them, it didn't have any. This is the photo of NZ7571 for public viewing at Whenuapai airshow in 2007. She didn't have a cargo door back then. Edited March 15, 2009 by S V Choong
S V Choong 4 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 I went to the Avalon Airshow on Sunday. The weather in the morning was fine. I missed RNZAF's B757-200's performance though, I only saw it from afar while I was sitting in the car amongst the traffic jam. We didn't have any A380-800 today, unlike yesterday. V Australia's B777-300ER was off-limits to the public (for interior viewing). It was raining during 3pm, which caused the cancellation of RAAF's F-111 performance. We do have a good range of performance, mainly warbirds and F-18 Hornets, F-16 Fighting Falcon, C-17 Globemaster, Hercules C-130, DHC-4 Caribou, Lockheed Constellation and etc. RAAF's De Havilland Canada DHC-4 Caribou Bike with a jet Qantas B747-400ER, VH-OEG. At 16:00hrs, she took off from Avalon and never to return to perform any show Lockheed Constellation L-749, dubbed "Connie". V Australia's brand new B777-300ER, VH-VOZ. No public viewing today Mother of all engines!!! GE90 up-close. Lovely blades! Huge is the only word to describe it. Southern Cross stars and Union Jack at tail. Boeing 737-700 Wedgetail for RAAF RNZAF Boeing 757-2K2, rego NZ7571 NZ7571 now with a cargo door at the front section. Douglas DC-3 F-18 Hornet with fold up wing, probably meant for aircraft carriers. General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon. Not sure which F-16 (A/B or C) version though. Mad Dog's F-15 Eagle. 4x F-18 Hornets in formation Nanchang bird...(not sure about the model number), used by People's Liberation Army of China. Business as usual for Avalon's Jetstar terminal. In fact we have had no less than 4x Jetstar A320 arriving and departing Avalon today.
