  1. Reporting back - Called on two separate occasions and both CSI mentioned that miles will be based on Fare Basis, in my case Q with only 25% accrual. I asked if there's a change of policy recently which he denied. MH5xxxx flight will need 2-3 weeks of processing :S
  2. Thanks Ashley! I'll give them a ring and hopefully they'll be able to help rectify these missing miles.
  3. Hi all, I have a two questions about Enrich which I would like to ask all the Enrich gurus here. Q1) Let's say I bought a SIN-KUL-BKK flight: SIN-KUL is Q class KUL-BKK is K class Overall fare basis is QBC14DSG I know that I will earn 25% on my SIN-KUL leg for Q class. May I ask, will I learn 100% miles on my KUL-BKK as per K class (which is printed on my boarding pass as well) or will I learn 25% miles as per Q Fare Basis overall? Q2) On another completely different trip but same route SIN-KUL-BKK: SIN-KUL - marketed as MH5732, operated by Silkair KUL-BKK on MH Ticketed by MH with MH e-ticket number of 232xxxxxxxxxx May I ask, will I earn points and sector in my Enrich account for the SIN-KUL code share flight? I thank everyone in advance for the kind help!
  4. I think it must be the weather. I was on the same route (MNL-KLO) on board PR2971 (2P2971 on FR24) on 17 Dec, about two weeks ago. The pilot attempted to land twice, but both time he decided to go around, citing winds were too strong, runway was wet and surroundings were dark. Eventually we were diverted back to Manila. We had to spend the night in NAIA and burnt our hotel stay in Boracay, but I guess its better to be safe. PAL did not handle this very efficiently. Perhaps the only good thing about this whole experience, other than being safe, was that they opened up a flight just to ferry us to KLO early the next morning on a DHC-8 (first time on a Dash-8 for me). Wind was still really pretty strong when we landed the next day.

  6. Cathay Pacific has lifted the covers on a refreshed logo and brand which the airline describes as "a cleaner, crisper, more contemporary identity" which will "help passengers travel well." Read more at: http://www.ausbt.com.au/cathay-pacific-readies-brand-refresh?utm_source=internal&utm_medium=flipper&utm_campaign=home-flipper Official site: http://www.cathaypacific.com/thenextchapter/ === Personally I quite like this new (minor) changes.
  7. Actually why will there be first class on domestic route, or any of the route mentioned in the e-WOR?
  8. Qatar flying to Europa for SGD799 ex-SIN! http://www.qatarairways.com/sg/en/special-offers.page? Purchased by 22 June 2014, travel between 21 July 2014 to 14 Nov 2014, min 2 to go
  9. SriLankan Airlines joins oneworld SriLankan Airlines has formally joined oneworld during a ceremony at Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (HRI), marking the first carrier from the Indian subcontinent to join an alliance. The membership will formally take effect at midnight April 30; its first oneworld flight will depart Colombo for Kuala Lumpur May 1. http://atwonline.com/finance-data/srilankan-airlines-joins-oneworld
  10. I saw this flight on skyscanner actually, code sharing with MH. However I'm unable to book it via any third party site.
  11. Uzbekistan Airways is flying between KUL and SIN. http://airlineroute.net/2014/01/17/hy-sin-s14update2/
  12. Actually why did MH retained the 'swoosh' on their aircraft with oneworld livery? As it seems like other member airlines' aircraft with oneworld livery is plain white.
  13. I thought LH's deal from SIN to Europa for SGD999 is quite some good deal! I consider anything to Europa below SGD1k to be very good deal! http://www.lufthansa.com/sg/en/europe-promo In fact last year I managed to book myself a SIN-FRA-MAD round trip for only SGD989, cheapest of my four Europa trip in recent years, which flies me the furthest too. And ironically my nearest Europa trip is also the most expensive (SIN-DXB-IST-DXB-IST on EK for ~SGD13xx) NB: promo ends 29 Nov! also please note the odd departure and return date: Departure period: 31.03.2014 - 31.10.2014 Return period: 06.04.2014 - 25.11.2014
  14. Apologies for the empty thread. The site 'crashed' while constructing this thread, and hence this empty one. Episode 1: Episode 1 Episode 2: Episode 2 Episode 3: Episode 3 Episode 4: Episode 4 Episode 5: Episode 5 Episode 6: Episode 6 Episode 7: Episode 7 There's 10 episodes in total. An interesting and informative documentary (:

  16. Source: http://tinyurl.com/nkr6gry Seems like KUL will be the first destination for MI's 738.
  17. I am planning a trip to Turkey on the end of September. Fares ex-SIN is getting out of hand at S$13xx return on QR (with long transit time in DOH). So being a budget conscious young adult, I search around and found this route the cheapest, costing S$10xx: Read from below.. So it's basically a SIN-KUL-DXB-KUL-SIN on MH and DXB-AMM-IST-AMM-DXB on RJ with two separate bookings. I would have a ~5 hours transit in DXB during my outbound between MH and RJ flight and ~3 hours transit on the inbound between RJ and MH. Since both airlines are in Oneworld alliance, I guess there's an interline agreement between them and my bags can be checked all the way through to my final destination ie IST/SIN, thus enabling me to just stay on the airside in DXB? Or do I have to collect my bags and go through everything again? If I have to go through all the formalities again in DXB, will I have enough time considering my 3 hours transit in DXB during the return (assuming there will be no delays in any flight)? ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I've got another question regarding booking on MH website: How come MH website won't display KUL-SIN flights on 6/10 and only display flights with such longggggggg connection? I'm not too keen to stay in KUL for such a long time! Expedia on the other hand allows me to book myself on the earlier flight so I can reach SIN on the same day. Is it safe to book on Expedia then? I've never book on a third party website before. Your reply will be very much appreciated. Thank you!
  18. Not sure if this is the right place to post this too.. So after TR dropped SIN-KCH, MI increases its frequency into KCH. Singapore Kuching Increase from 3 to 4 weekly, new flight on Day 4 MI372 SIN0815 0945KCH 319 2 MI378 SIN1810 1940KCH 32S 457 MI371 KCH1025 1150SIN 319 2 MI377 KCH2025 2150SIN 32S 457 Source: http://airlineroute.net/2013/07/23/mi-w13/ So now there's 2x/day for AK and MH, and 4x/week for MI Seems like the FSC are doing pretty well on this route. Wonder why did TR pulled out.
  19. Why is there still no 'Malaysia Airlines' option on the Iberia booking page.
  20. OD1014 taking off next! Some blurry pictures I manage to take using my iPad (pardon the quality): And off she goes:
  21. Hah I missed it too. Can only see the balloons outside the gate and there's food inside the boarding room...
  22. Thanks for enlightening. I always thought they can check me in from KCH and back to KCH, like how they can check in for multiple sectors in a booking. Seems like it doesn't work this way.
  23. Any chance I can take OD1601 KCH-KUL (0900-1040) and then OD1608 KUL-KCH (1125-1310), just for a joy ride? The next flight would only reach KCH at 1755 but I have another flight departing for SIN at 1925. Should there be any delay and I missed my SIN flight I'll be pretty screwed.
