  1. I had miles and sectors credited in June this year on a Maswings flight, but it was a connecting Kul-Myy-Lmn vv. Wasn't expecting it but not complaining.
  2. Images are a week old. Since then, the Domestic Golden Lounge should have been open for about 2 weeks plus. An improvement over the old lounge.
  3. Not bad. Went on both days, qualifying was somewhat quiet but race day felt like a giant Red Bull-infused picnic at Zone A. Just needed some vodka to get it running properly, or jaeger. Slight hiccup at Gemilang Bridge on Day 1 when ticket holders stuck on the wrong side of the bridge couldn't get to Zone A across the bridge because it was closed but were denied entry to Zone B despite no shuttle bus arriving after 40 minutes. Only after a lot of pissed off ticket holders made their frustration known were we allowed in to Zone B. Day 2 went smoother, thankfully, though Zone B has better spotting areas. Rain did not deter on Day 1 and slight drizzle was ignored on Day 2.
  4. Noticed last week RGN-KUL, they replaced the mineral water with a Kit Kat in the snack box; there is dessert in the box for ex-KCH with kek lapis and ex-BKK with foy thong cake for a while already.
  5. And this is what she looks like in the lounge when she's busy. Happy New Year everyone!
  6. The business centre had a bit of a touch-up. Nice bright wood, but the one most important thing is missing: printer. 4 booths for computers but no printer. Defies explanation. And guys, if you need to use the loo, make sure it's number two; that standing bit as usual, won't work as there's no urinal. Yeap, the urinals are not installed. Piping work ready, holes drilled, but where oh where do you expect us to relieve ourselves in a civilized manner befitting a macho, modern day road warrior? Jokes aside, the restroom still needs a lot of work. The showers feel half done, and the fittings don't look as if they were fitted properly. Otherwise, I welcome the use of the beige-cream tiles, gives a sense of space for number twos. I do not want to be in that washroom during rush hour, at least until they fix it properly.
  7. Also in the lounge now, they changed the wood panelling to darker wood, removed more plants, a few contrasting carpet-laminate flooring at the entrance. Wouldn't call this a full revamp. The lounge staff I spoke to said F lounge will be opened in February. Please excuse the dark quality of my photos: I blame the 'moody' feel of the lounge. The new entrance, looks like 'Journey Gateway' in KL Sentral. Looks vaguely the same as the old lounge, though the closet space on the immediate left has been expanded. Nothing but dark wood though. The Sports Lounge is still there. They have an interesting method of making it well-used: they banished all the alcohol from the main lounge area to this quiet spot. Was wondering where all the beer was in the fridge until I found it hidden in a black window fridge at the back of the buffet area close to the foot massage area. Note the new flooring scheme. The area on the left by the window is the temporary cordoned off area for F class. Shares the same space as everyone else, except you get comfier sofas. Bistro still looks mostly the same except for the new prep area which now restricts space inside. Another angle of the main area. The buffet spread is still mostly the same. Just a few cosmetic touch-ups. Food offering seems to have gone down a bit in quality and selection. I do like the ice cream though. The other side of the main seating area. Note the cordoned off area at the background. F Lounge still a work in progress. Games Room and Children's Room seems to have had a bit of a touch up. The staff here are still a bit slow, despite the lounge being reopened a week ago. A lot of cleaning crew around, seriously, a lot, who just seem to sweep and wipe, but apparently not enough to clear the tables. Have yet to do a full sweep. Might do that after I get something to drink. And ice cream. Or both. p.s. more electrical outlets and the mobile phone charging booths are a plus. (edit: found the missing beer in the main buffet area. Thought they banished it, they merely hid it behind blacked out windows.)
  8. Taken earlier, klia2 seems to be taking shape well at the terminal. Roofing at main terminal seems almost done. No aerobridges and the apron is still messy with construction material and earth. The approach roads seem complete, as well as the ERL link.
  9. There is a mad queue at Enrich KL Sentral service centre now, mad dash to redeem flights. Enrich redemption online is also down, and there's itermittent downtime on Enrich system at Sentral. Wonder if they'll extend the promo, knowing a tendency to leave things till the super last minute.
  10. My recent flights to HKG have been packed, if not overbooked, on both MH or CX. Very interesting development to see the dugong doing the morning round to HKG but wondering why they're downgrading the evening flight to 738.
  11. Was shown on my flight a few days ago on the old A330 to HKG. Video in English, additional announcement in Malay, and Cantonese as well.
  12. MHmobile is wonky: tried to make a transaction on MHmobile. Said 'credit card unable to be processed' or 'server time out' but my card was deducted. Bank confirmed the deduction, and now on the 1-300 line. It's like 'pass the parcel' with them now, being transferred from one operator to the other, with a very long queue in between. As if they don't know what to do and hope they can ignore me by transferring calls. Thought they rectified it last week when they did that maintenance work on Sunday? Very frustrating. The last time this happened, it was deducted then redeposited. Wonder what's going on.
  13. Strange: codeshare flights to HK don't appear on the website, but shows on MH Mobile.
  14. I don't think that MASwings is an LCC: they serve tetra-pack milo and snacks, plus have the in-flight entertainment on, albeit adverts and tourism promos. Firefly also serves snacks. Good service on both.
  15. There is, forgot the name, 'Miri Executive Lounge' or something but I could be mistaken. It's on the right side after the quasi-immigration counter, open to MH biz class pax and Enrich Gold, RM50 per entry for others. Used it 3 months ago.
