Funny enough that the brightside team using Nikon and majority of darkside equipments are Canon... Finally, Me trying to emulate the darkside shot... Luckily I've Capture NX to process the RAW file...

I'm still kicking myself for missing the smokes, bro..... Anyway..... she taxied back on Alpha towards a waiting Follow-Me-Car... while a company's B738 rotating... Passing slowly onto Bravo, with the KLIA Tower behind... Meeting with the Queen of The Sky... (I think B744 is more elegant .... ) Turning into C27, to the waiting welcoming party-crowd Water cannon salutes... right on cue from left & right.... nice ones Perfect arc showering the Dugong... This B738 requested for a slow taxi to enjoy Dugong taking showers... ....and after the shower.... receiving all the attention from the party-crowd... .... least but not least..... Job has to be done... whatever it takes... right Azahan?...

Sorry for delay in sharing my photos.... Well.... here are some from my spots... I was stationed just beyond this ILS house near 32R... TK warned me not to sit on the other side... but I've stopped being productive.... hehe As it was the 'A Malaysia Airline Day'.... lots of MH aircraft passed by for me to test out the relevant lenses for my D7000 on right shoulder & D200 on left shoulder... Overheard in the radio she's requesting a 600' flypast over the runway.... and she peaked from the haze... Silently flew above me.... sssss.... With nice blue sky above her .... She proceeded to the end of runway before banked right .... Few minutes later, she came back for full-stop land, peaking again over the horizon beyond 32R threshold... Floating in-front of company's welcoming committees ... at 80mm, my 80-200mm cannot accomodate her already by the time she's almost kissing the tarmac... thus.... quickly switching camera body ..... AND MISSING THE SMOKING TOUCHDOWN..... aaarggggh anyway.... keeping my index finger on the shutter buttons... continue firing while she rolled-out...

Took off for the final test flight before delivery... Aircraft went back home after the heavy rain just now...

Capt .... that wasn't the first time in 32L.... BTW.... long time ago during 32R single ops... Witnessed myself the situation as the photo above... Tower was really edgy at that time... as soon as the departing a/c airborned he just issued ... "(rego))... clear to land 32R..", & seconds later touchdown... phew.. (everybody was standing in the tower...)... so "immediate.." means really "now..."...

Sorry.... my previous image was deleted by inactive imageshack... I upload another one here for Alex .... The location is about 1.5km from Concorde Inn... shouldn't be a problem to walk but as advised by Chaity.... go there in a group... it is in a plantation area, quite far from anybody in case something untoward happened .... You can go there by car... but be prepared to drive on dirt tracks... I dont think taxi drivers know the place, except some of them used to park their cars at the end of the metalled road for nap.

... Good...good.... hope they will not bar the public to access it, like the Obs Hill in KUL...

I missed the arrival of this dugong last week.... So today I make it a point to be at Anjung Tinjau for Malaysian5488 or MalaysianJoyRide... She was readied at C17 when I arrived at 1140... (thanks to Azuan for letting me know the timing...) and at 1212.... she was pushed back for the departure... however.... my prized catch for today would be this... Gazpromavia's TU154M from Russia... probably here bringing Russian Oil&Gas people for the conference...
