Morning folks, I will be at KUL in 2 weeks time (23/11) spotting with some friends for the day (we're doing a spotting trip though the area). We are really hoping to go to the 32R spot in the afternoon (if the 32s are being used) and catch some shots of things departing. Is it still possible to shoot from the 32R plantation spot? Is the best way to get there by taxi seeing as we won't have a car. Do airport security ever move police from here? Any information would be much appreciated! Regards, Alex

Great stuff from LGG Cornelis, I've been hoping to get there for a while. I've heard there's a large fence around most of the airport - do you need a ladder to shoot over it? Rgds, Alex

Hi Chai, thanks a lot for that info. I'm starting to get a good understanding on KUL now (I think!). Is it possible to get to this spot on foot in a group or would we definitely need a car or a taxi to get there? Being 32L I guess the light is only good in the afternoon onwards, unless there's cloud? We're close to booking trips for the KUL part of this trip now so I will let you know when we have done so. I have a few spare days at the end of the trip so I'm hoping to do a couple more trips through KUL to take advantage of the great spot in the LCC terminal for getting as many of the Air Asia livery jets as possible. Evening everyone, I, along with some other spotting friends, will be coming over to KUL later in the year for a couple of days as part of a SE Asia spotting trip. I've seen a lot of 32R rotation/climbout shots (like this one: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Malaysia-Airlines/Boeing-737-8FZ/2066498/L/&sid=a135c8fab61e6afc143a23163157eb65). I've been told that the spot for getting these type of photos is from within a private plantation. Is this spot off Jilan Kila Road? Could somebody please let me know what the current situation is with regards to shooting from this area? Is it still possible to shoot from here? Does the Concorde Inn offer good views of 32R for photos? Apart from this spot I'm hoping to try out the low-cost terminal (when we fly in) and the viewing gallery in the main terminal (if it clouds over). Many thanks, Alex
