  1. After all the passengers boarded the aircraft... about 70% load... We paid a farewell visit to the tech crew.... they were busy preparing for the departure BTW.... awesomeness... cockpit with engineer's station... Hon Kit was the last "ground staff" to leave the aircraft... and farewell BG087 and the classic closing of the DC10's door... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgnIm7liaws&feature=youtu.be
  2. As the turn around time is approx 1.5 hrs... the tarmac team managed to roam the cabin ... Funky retro scheme... And we waited for arrival of Dhaka bound pax.... and were lucky to photographed a Bangladeshi actor ... here with one of Biman's KUL rep...

Once the passengers of Flt 086 disembarked.... we went in into the beautiful aircraft to meet the crew (prior permissions were sought and readily approved, on Dhaka side as well as KUL side) The flight was commandeered by Capt Shoiab Choudhury and assisted by Capt Hasnain Choudhury (no relations I believed) and we managed to get the whole operating crew to do a group photo Some of the crew were actually did the delivery ferry flight of this aircraft back to Dhaka .. While waiting for the cleaning team to do their chores in the cabin, we went out for external tour of this last passenger servicing DC10... together with the tech crew..   4. Yes.... but the equipments on the tarmac to service the Diesel10 were causing a bit of a headache for us.. Nevertheless ... we just shoot in between them.... Simply amazing when she's coming face to face with you....
  5. Yeah.... we were desperate to get to the tarmac for Biman arrival... but at 1500 (STD), no AVSEC available to escort us .... so several phone calls were made... While waiting.... we tried shooting from inside the terminal... As you can see from the "test shots" above.... no go... More phone calls followed.....

  8. I think I've not visited "ladang" for more than 4 years.... Last 27th August... I was there... specifically for Tuesday special midday single runway operations... (Monday they close 14L/32R at midday and Tuesday they close 14R/32L... for schedule maintenance) normally its between 1130-1230 The trees has grown quite a bit now.... Compare to when I was there in 2006

  15. .... talked to an old timer with MH (ground crew)... the one with the 'Sistem Penerbangan Malaysia' provided them with 3 months bonus, none when they changed... (is it correct?)

  20. Went to Subang in not so good weather (raining in fact)... for China United Airlines aka China Air Force B-4021... She went out for test flight around 1045... and she came back at 1415 for a 'go-around" (she requested for touch&go)... and touchdown at 1430 ... BUT my prize catch for today is the surprise arrival of this beauty.... maybe from a test flight too.. she really made my day...
