  1. Great catch of PapaQuebec... could be the first Hajj flight by MH
  2. Probably these seats, which I missed the opportunity to shoot due to the crowds (& excitement...) btw... The rear seats (row 18?) recline to about the same as some LCC's A320 I did post a photo of the seat reclined position in post #26 above and comparatively with the front seat reclined...
  3. I'm sure many of us are interested to see the new reconfigured 'Kuala Lumpur'... The first class cabin remains with 12 seats... The lower business class was removed... and reconfigured with economy... Reclined position for front & rear rows in what use to be business class The original economy class remains... Seat pitch still remains 34" Major changes are in the upper deck... now the deck seats 60pax in economy... Pitch looks more generous than lower deck and yes.... those on window seats has the side cabinet as well... and there's big space when someone brought in extra large size luggage Front office still remain as original....
  4. If not mistaken, 2 x B744 (one MasCharter's newly configured 454pax 9M-MPQ and another the fleet's normal 386pax config) and a B772 will be utilised for this year's Hajj operations... Thanks to Capt Nik for inviting me to the launching ceremony of the "Kuala Lumpur" as MasCharter's dedicated aircraft. Let the photos tell the story... Guests arrived and welcomed by the chief and his gang.. Luckily there's an aircond room for us to cool down while waiting for the VVIPs... Arrival of MAS MD, Tengku Dato' Azmil Zahrudin, greeted by Capt Nik Tabung Haji's Group MD/CEO Datuk Ismee Ismail, being escorted by Tengku Dato' Azmil... VVIP proceed to hangar with Charter Crew in Hajj uniform line-up to welcome them Proceed to Papa Quebec in MAS Hangar 06 Admiring the aircraft... ....to be continued... Capt Nik giving initial briefing to the VVIPs regarding the aircraft The crew and MAS Kompang group.. Amin... after prayer being said... Capt Nik giving his speech... It was hot inside the hangar... VVIPs visiting/inspecting the aircraft... A short press conference was conducted in the first class cabin... and the reporters still wanted more from Capt Nik, after the conference and finally... the mandatory group photos... .... next... the interior of 'Kuala Lumpur'..
  5. God Willing... was assigned to KT44 by THTravel... the Hajj, not to Oshkosh.. not sure if it's SV or MH..
  6. OT- That is why we at Malaysianwings requested that members to put up their realname as their 'Display Name' when they signing up... at least they'll be more responsible with their postings when the 'Name given by their parents' are related to what they are saying... as of here... I wonder whether 'michgyver' is real... and so goes to 'harryboy'... please get in touch with moderator to get the Display Name corrected. -- and back to the topic ... please get all the facts correct before start hitting the keyboard as some of the members mentioned... have some respect...

  10. The Chronicle's report is 'quite graphical in nature'... and the Telegraph has quite a different story to tell... aerobridge retracting while the aircraft door not yet closed?

  18. Can't remember clearly, but if not mistaken, there was a ship wrecked or something to the north of Sumatera, and the Skyvan (belongs to Pan Malaysian) was sending second group of divers (they were Singaporeans) to Banda Acheh to help with the rescue mission.. I just talked to the pilot-owner about renting his Skyvan for aerial photo works couple of months before that...

  24. Ian.... another US Military flight? David... now worries bro... it's normal for spotting rare aircraft, it was supposed to depart at the original info, but as you mentioned... due to documentation problems, we were unabled to shoot her departure, but I think some MWIngers succesfully captured her during one of the test flights...
