Accident: Asiana B772 at San Francisco on Jul 6th 2013
David.W replied to JingKai Seah's topic in General Aviation
Oh the irony whe weather is perfect not a single cloud in the sky. Normally this kind of crash would be the result of bad weather, crosswinds but not this time. Nobody especially the passengers would have any idea that the plane would crash -

Telegraph UK Here we reproduce a complaint letter sent to Sir Richard Branson, which is currently being emailed globally and is considered by many to be the world's funniest passenger complaint letter. Dear Mr Branson REF: Mumbai to Heathrow 7th December 2008 I love the Virgin brand, I really do which is why I continue to use it despite a series of unfortunate incidents over the last few years. This latest incident takes the biscuit. Ironically, by the end of the flight I would have gladly paid over a thousand rupees for a single biscuit following the culinary journey of hell I was subjected to at thehands of your corporation. read the full letter here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/travelnews/4344890/Virgin-the-worlds-best-passenger-complaint-letter.html

The last thing we want is corners cut resulting in a collapse due to negligence like the 2nd Penang Bridge ramp and they were on schedule! Now they are delayed

12 people injured after turbulence hits SIA flight
David.W replied to xtemujin's topic in General Aviation
To have splashes on the roof that means that there was a period of weightlessness! So the dive was pretty sharp and food flying in the air. Cannot imagine the scene in first class -
Hello MH please wake up

a breakthrough for economy seating or a unnecessary add on feature? Ok if your are a family or couple but sleeping with a stranger.... You might end up having people booking the entire row so he/she can sleep on a bed in economy!

Anyone knows who the 757 belongs to? Some rumors on another forum that it is a escape jet for a certain party but I doubt it

And out of all times it has to be during elections... :clapping:probably sheer bad luck

Singapore Changi Airport is voted the World's Best Airport KLIA no longer in the top 10 Singapore Changi Airport has been voted the World's Best Airport at the 2013 World Airport Awards held at Passenger Terminal EXPO in Geneva. This is the fourth time Changi airport has achieved the top prize - last claiming victory back in 2010. The awards are voted for by airport customers from around the world and this year the survey garnered 12.1 million responses. "In winning this prestigious accolade, Singapore Changi cements its place as one of the world's favourite airports and Skytrax offer their sincere congratulations on what has been a fantastic year of achievement" said Edward Plaisted, Chairman of Skytrax. "Changi airport continues to be a leader and innovator within the industry and this in our opinion, is a key reason why it has remained ranked amongst the top-3 airports for the last 14 years of the awards." http://www.worldairportawards.com/Awards_2013/Airport2013.htm Full ranking here http://www.worldairportawards.com/Awards_2013/top100.htm 1. Aerial Pics of Beautiful Complexity of Major Airports
David.W replied to Naim's topic in General Aviation
Certainly beautiful I somehow love looking at the taxiway designs on google earth -
Although it is quite late for MH to order the 787/A390, do you think it would be idea for some of its long haul routes e.g. KUL - LAX espically when the 77 are gone, the 333 is the only plane that can replace it?

British Airways A380 to FRA, LAX, HKG, JNB, IAD, SIN & SFO
David.W replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
Just like there are many 747 jets we will now see many A380 as they are becoming the big workhorse replacement of the 747. -
I wonder if KLIA2 will have the same fate as DOH. Cancel airport opening 2 hours before it opens! And its looks completed to me for quite a while.

From the trip report Which terminal in LHR caters to OneWorld? MH is at T4, AA is at terminal 3 but BA is at T5 what about the other OneWorld members that come to LHR? Considering BA is a major airline in OW shouldn't all OW airlines be in one terminal for better connectivity

Finally the A380 F class reports are coming out here is one that has been posted today that I stumbled across http://milevalue.com/spring-break-2013-malaysia-airlines-a380-first-class-from-paris-to-kuala-lumpur/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=spring-break-2013-malaysia-airlines-a380-first-class-from-paris-to-kuala-lumpur not sure if you have seen this one already http://boardingarea.com/blogs/onemileatatime/2013/03/31/oneworld-welcome-malaysia-airlines-first-class-kuala-lumpur-to-london/ It seems the seats are much bigger than seen on photos

France says Malaysia can build jets if it buys Rafale
David.W replied to David.W's topic in General Aviation
Its hard do believe this, as Our airforce intends to get only a handful of jets probably not more then 20 of them so why are they considering having the jets made here. Does not sound financially viable. If the plan is to have over 100+ jets in out fleet then it might be more realistic but opening a plant to just to make 20 jets?
