  1. With this kinda attitude they will keep on failing.. And we gonna have to pay for it
  2. They stand higher chance if they choose to fly out of KUL or SZB
  3. If OD gave up senai-penang then i dont see Melaka route will make more commercial sense. I'd give them 3 months
  4. Apparently there are too many Expresses. Malindo official callsign still bearing Express though it was rarely used. Transmile has changed to Raya Express and there's express air in Indonesia, a prominent callsign in Ujong Pandang FIR. Not sure if the move is initiated by AirAsia themselves or by authority. For me, change is always good.
  5. Airasia changing callsign from Asian Express to Red Cap?
  6. I know most, most of OD domestic departures are from K gates. While i prefer J gates as it has more airy atmosphere, cant help but to pity shop operators who were assigned lots at J gates. I hope MAHB can work on some compensation for them.
  7. Shops at domestic departures from K gates are all closed.. dont know if its for good..
  8. I think SZB operation will likely hit saturation point at 15 aircrafts with routes mostly covered. The remaining we'll see is how FY and OD develop other hubs like PEN JHB KBR with maybe, the max is around another 10 aircraft for each of them.
  9. Khazanah is so good at creating more high income jobs. They stay true to PM's vision of high income nation by bringing in highly paid individuals whilst letting go thousands in sub 10k ringgit salary range
  10. KUL - CDG on VN with stops in Hanoi going for RM 2.2k
  11. Departed DEL yesterday together with Tony Abbot's heading to KUL. Priority was given to them of course. There's ASY330 (them Australian entourage with 26 p.o.b.) then OD 206, MH 191.
  12. Nothing new, just another bail out. Using public money. When will these people will learn. Government got no balls to let MAS in current form just die of natural death. Sure its bitter pill to swallow but i'm not convinced by the prospect of having another bailout in 5-7 years time. Each time it will costs more than before.
  13. AOCs are precious commodity. Havent heard from Cool Red for a long time. Zest is predominant callsign for Zest AirAsia Philippines now. I think they are maintaining two separate AOCs so that in the future Cool Red will be Philippines Air Asia X
  14. We could have at least posses half of their firepower, heck, even just a quarter to have any chance to quell any external agression threat but the way out defense assets were procured left much to be desired..
  15. I think its more economical to extend the komuter line as there are existing KTM land, thus, land acquisition cost is minimal except for the last part of terminating the line in front of skypark.
  16. How they gonna answer to shop owners operating on K pier. Business' are already slow on that side. Not as welcoming as J, P and Q piers.
  17. To those who still questioning about alternate routes being taken by MH for European destination, i would advise you guys to go for flight dispatch course, get a license, and apply to work for MH. If you guys are more daring, perhaps spend around RM 300k to get a pilots license, try to get a place in airline flying trans continental route then came back here and convince that it is not a safe route for them to fly around Syria, Afghanistan, for that matter. Flight dispatcher normally run 3 best routings and using fuel analysis they decide which one is the best, then submit the flight plan. If there's any airspace closure the system will reject the routings, and even if the flight plan accepted, ATC will reject and ask them to submit another route. And that, even if there is airspace closure after flight plan accepted and aircraft departed, ATC will detour the aircraft by any mean of communication. It happened to me, and it happened to other pilots as well. We live with it. I am behind MH decision to fly any route they deemed safe. Any detours from safe and normal routes shouldn't be done to appease non-flying public.
  18. The main selling point is cost, which is significantly lower than competing 787, this suit them well.
  19. Really strange when KUL forbids turboprop operation whilst Changi welcome it with open arms. No conflict whatsoever with jet traffic, just not a wise decision on our authority side.
  20. If it aint broke, dont fix. Though a330 neo wont offer much technological leap compared to its rival 787, i believe the major selling points will be their low price and abundance of spare parts availability considering its a more than a decade old aircraft. Plus, slot availability. Shorter waiting time compared to A350 and 787.
  21. BWN weather always notorrious of some sort.. Bad weather doesnt mean u have to divert as long as the visibility allows for landing
  22. BKK traffics were largely diverted to Don Mueang especially Thai's two largest LCC fly from there.
  23. The terminal looks good on the outside. Inside, a wholw different story. For me its a design failure. A rushed job. Missed opportunity to make it better. Mumbai terminal two is like 100% better. Sure the argument about low cost vs full terminal gonna rise but its a shame where we can do better, we chose not to. The terminal is going to stay for at least 20-30 years. Too bad we will be paying huge electricity bills due to design flaws in KLIA2. MTB is way better in terms of natural lighting and spaciousness feel.
