  1. Not sure la Min Chun. Anyway, they don't have the "right" a/c for XIY/AMD at the moment. No penalties but extra cash by " "leasing" back the leased a/c" for czech summer charter flights. I think the last B73Q/738 flight was few days ago KUL-XIY.... on 24 Mac. XIY-KUL 28 Mac on 332. So I think they gone already.
  2. MPR next flights : MH6166/6167/6136/6137/6190/6191 DXB/PEN v.v 28 Mac - 2 Apr. 2 Apr she going to AMS once again as MH 6132.
  3. It's confirmed no B738 in April... BUT will return in service with MAS in October. Apparently, they need the a/c for summer charter flight not otherwise.
  4. Given the "current" situation at play, our low internet connection per capita compared to other EU countries, Switzerland, North American countries, South Korea and etc making it more inconvenience for the traveling public. Plus, credit card fraud cases in Malaysia… well... I think you well aware of this issues.
  5. Implementation of the new system can be done in a very short period. But dealing with human resources, staff training local and overseas, overhaul the entire systemwide, transaction/intergration process... another story. Finally, they get rid their outdated KOMMAS (and ABACUS).
  6. PMB already issued a US$ 1 billion bond. So far attracted nearly US$ 2 billion of orders. Would be used for refinancing, the acquisition of aircraft and general working capital. MAS Way Biz Turnaround plan stated, months 24-36 (year 3) ... join an international airline alliance, order new a/c, launch new destinations, new products/services etc.
  7. Pieter, all Caucasian crew. Ermm, guys actually they're South African Airways stewardesses from South Africa doing training at Malaysia Airlines Academy. Most probably 747-400 crew. Sorry my mistake!
  8. Currently we have some new South African stewardesses (new batch) doing their training at the academy plus some new latinas crew (just graduated).
  9. Ex-KUL or "from KLIA" or ex-PEN flights. For flight less than 0100 hour... for "cattle" class pax... choice of Milo or Orange Juice. Brand: Berry's Taste: "Very" sour orange juice, not sweet nor "sweeten" OJ. No sacs. Flights Ex-BKI/KCH ... less then 0100 hour flight... choice of Orange Juice and Mango Juice. Brand: Joy Occasionally, Berry's Orange Juice. For GCC... freshly squeezed OJ... most of the time with orange sacs. I think something is wrong with your organ of taste (tongue) o Peace....
  10. S V Choong, Your most welcome. Sectors listed only for NSD routes. AKL may get NSD a/c but the service is not (NSD). That's why not on the list. I don't think MAS will cut many of its international destinations as reported on newspapers, especially in preparation for 2007, the year of Visit Malaysia Year, as tourism is Malaysia second largest source of income after manufacturing and I am sure our government aware of this. But I don't know, it is just my amateur point of view. There are many ways to cut cost. Among the possiblities they looking at are short stay trip/mininum rest period for cabin crew, less frequencies, reduction of ground staff operating at boarding gates and etc. To someone, We all know MAS enjoy high load factor on most of its international/most of its domestic flights, but the number one culprit is low yield... and oh yea, there is no such thing such as "for the sake of pride" routes... it's all purely economic. MAS may suffer, but Malaysia gain something from MAS difficulties. One last thing, in case you doesn’t know, one of MAS 5 corporate objectives is:- … service within Malaysia which directly links Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia and contributes to the ECONOMIC and SOCIAL integration of the country as whole. Enuff said and that's for 114 unprofitable domestic routes. What a burden?

  14. Off topic: Together with MASKargo and Catering, Malaysia Airlines' In-Flight Shopping division Temptations generating cash and profit for the airline. Idris Jala recently said, Temptations is our "valuble treasure/entity". Hence, a good chance for Heliconia 1:200 MAS official release.
  15. Thank you for all the inputs and correction! Much appreciated.
  16. As someone mentioned earlier, the current LCC-T site designated for new ACC/expansion. In 5-7 years time, with brand new LCC-Terminal in the making, the current LCC-Terminal can be converted into cargo centre with slight/major modification here and there. Therefore, I see nothing is wasting here.

  19. Actual roster to HAN on B738 but changed to:- Some of next month B738 LGK flights MH 1456 3MAR, 9 MAR, 20 MAR
  20. Yea, very 70's. If I'm not mistaken, before they blocked the area, people can access the viewing area somewhere nearby A&W restaurant right? I really luv and missed the mural design inside T1, very Malaysian. Unfortunately can't find any pics of it. And of course the best roti canai I ever had at SZB staff canteen. Their kari... totally out of this world.
