    KUL Apron 2012

i didn't realize that there is this topic of KUL Apron 2012... I ended up post my recent photos in 2011 forum... oh well, i keep in mind of this topic next time i have some photos to share.
  8. Hi LaurieB, The tube that i am talking about is the thin one above the word Maritim Malaysia. I guess this is an overflow tube, in case if the water in the tanks are just above the normal line... Maybe during turning and turbulence, water may just shakes all over the tank...he he he... someone can share some points... Subang, Come down and visit Subang with pure luck... The long wait is the killer,,,,
  9. This morning M71-01 did another compass swing at "KILO" far end of runway 15. As i mentioned earlier, this aircraft may have done some modifications. LaurieB was correct with an extra bubble window on the blue stripe above the maritime insignia. Now M71-01 looks exactly like M71-02. except this long tube on starboard side (Right) aft fuselage above the word "MARITIM MALAYSIA" Saturday normally is not a good day for spotting. But today, i guess i was lucky. Maybe because it is my wife's birthday!!! ha ha ha PK-YVS Not a foreign plane in Subang actually. ex Malaysia Airlines 9M-MQH cn 27352 ln 2624 ex Nok Air HS-DDJ, blue peacock scheme.. Now Batavia since 2008. Subang ATC directed this Batavia to taxi to Malaysia Airlines MRO hangar 2.... As they reach there, Batavia Pilot told ATC that no one is expecting them...meaning no engineering to guide them... After 15 minutes, ATC told Batavia to make 180 degree...taxi out to main taxiway and proceed to AIROD....ha ha ha... Ah yes, finally this bird found its proper "Nest"... For the past week, i was waiting for the other Batavia to go....then today, i have one arrive. I can't see what is the rego of the white Batavia.... Anybody from AIROD can share some info...?? Subang this morning, Angkasa did some practice flypast.... while having lunch, 2 CN-235 made a low fly past over the runway. I guess...we have to be ready for something....
  10. M71-01 Bombardier CL215/CL415 Malaysian Flag is bigger on top Rudder. Maritim Malaysia wording in one line instead of 2 (Top , bottom) Bombardier Decal now on the Lower rudder. Larger rego, and a weather radar (black mole on the nose) Small unpainted outlet above the word (MALAYSIA) above the letter "L" and "A" Some extra round long tube above emergency exit. Extra antenna VHF at the back and GPS antenna at forward top fuselage. I should have wait when it turn the other way....back lit! She did compass swing at "KILO" runway 15. Sorry for back lit, i was so happy to see her again.

    KUL Apron 2011

When ever i do my walk around on my plane...i take my chance to do apron spotting. What ever plane park next to mine will be spotted. I just use my point and shoot. Canon S95. S100 is out in the market now, i guess it is also a good point and shoot. These photos are taken some time ago...2011 and also recently in 2012. I hope you will enjoy most of these MH and other airliners.
  15. Zamir, That's a true spotting spirit. Up to your battery died!!! he he
  16. missed the flying beer....
  17. I hope one day i can fly over your house... I will give advance notice. he he he...
  18. yes i am. Once i have more free time, i will get an update on this topic.
  19. he he he.... Nice one eh...
  20. Fuyoh Azahan...that is a wonderful shot!!! I didn't notice you took the pict.... Well...my calculation was correct!!! Time to eat... Just before the weather....
  21. Check out the time on the clock,,,, 21:16 UTC = 05:16 Local time Malaysia. And i have done 04:39 hours elapse time since i left Haneda International. The moment we push back, actually "OFF CHOCK".. my flight time starts! Haneda-Kinabalu has longer flight times...due to Head Wind.. I missed the Haneda Kinabalu runs... At least the weather is out of my way... Long time ago on the 777, i can NEVER see my wingtip from the cockpit window... Now better...i even have a winglet!!! From time to time i will update this thread. I just can't do it that often...it will be slow, i will do my best.
  22. 737-4H6 9M-MQA.... Boeing 737-8H6 9M-MXB I spent 10 years on the Boeing 777. I could only make it 10 Months on the -400 and switch to -800 series. I need to look at my instrument as how i look it on previous fleet!!! he he he see the differences!!!
  23. SV Choong, for the past few years on the 737.... 737 roster are more tighter than time on the 777. I lost weight, early morning flights, short night stops out of stations and Bay of Bengal runs!! 70 hours on the 777 was 4 men crew...long haul + maybe 2 flights 2 men crew like Perth and Hong Kong. 70 hours on the 737 IS i starts the CFM56 engines many more times!!!!! I fly many more sectors (short ones).... It builds experience.
