  5. I don't know whether this information has been shared here. Royal Brunei Boeing 787 flight to KUL wil probably lands approximately at 1115, starting 19th October. (Tomorrow).
  6. Wind varies from 210 to 300 at 0700 zulu. Plausible.
  7. Single runway ops. Good for spotters, bad for P.O.B.
  8. Yup, but the long stretch is like in the middle of ocean. Very expose to strong winds, and everything.
  9. Finally nailed Foxtrot Foxtrot Alpha, in LGK. Several times it cames to AOR but couldn't catch it. A few minutes before this shot was taken, several go arounds reported due to heavy rain and turbulent. This was the METAR during this shots taken. WMKL 050400Z 30013G25KT 3000 RA FEW008 FEW017CB SCT025 OVC260 24/23 Q1013 winds 300 at 13knots, gusting to 25knots...
  10. Once in a lifetime opportunity....from airside... :-)
  11. Wow wow....nice sets from PEN....gonna spend some time in near future i guess...
  12. Maybe i mistakenly stated it, sorry about that. Boeing 777 burns 7.1 tons of fuel per hour, Boeing 747 approx. 10 tons per hour. AOR - MED took about 8 hours.
  13. Hajj flight, AOR - MED, all 5 days in a row. starting 9th until 13th of September.
  14. Hi guys, below are series of photos from today's flight. Enjoy. :-) *A little info about this flight: Total fuel of 7.1 tons bring from PEN. POB of 295 - largest number of POB ever recorded at AOR Lead pilot is local Kedahan, Datuk Kapten Mohd Fauzi. All ground support equipment bring from KUL. Bomba upgrade from CAT6 to CAT9. Departure time 1305hrs. Flight time 8 hours 15min to MED. Ground crew are working hard to prepare the flight. Including foods, drinks and snacks. After an ATC clearance to MED, MH8008 were cleared for pushback and start. A pair of Kedah & Malaysian flags were placed at cokcpit's windows. Commemorating inaugural direct flight AOR - MED. Lucky for me, Tower asked pushback and facing south, direct to me. hihi. Enter runway, back-track for runway 22, hold position after line-up 5 min at runway 22 to dismantle flags. All airbone plane hold position 10 mins . And, here it comes, with all the rumble from both Trents, superb sound track.... Rotates, there it goes, fly all 279 passengers to holy land. Semoga beroleh Haji yg mabrur. See you again in 45 days.
  15. Wow wow....SZB is very very busy....
  16. Thanks for the kind words guys... :-) Information: B777 will be arriving from MED on 9th Sept 2013, 0740hrs local time. Flight MH8005.
  17. Yes, BERNAMA reporter together with me at the Tower, and nicely chit chatting with him about plane spotting. Asked him to change immediately to 200mm or longer lens because i notice on his D3s body was 50mm.
  18. Hello Guys, I was present at AOR today (28-Aug-2013), proving flight of 777...btw, thanks T.Ahmad for reminding me. :-) Weather was awful. Visibility approx. 1 km only, low over-shoot and circuit landing was disapproved by ATC. Flight was delay about 2.0hours, but it worth the wait. hihi...:-) Tower has no visibility until very final moment before touch down. Pilots visible with runway lights at 3nm from touch down. First touch down of a mighty 777 on Alor Setar soil. Malindo's ATR holding short at Taxiway Hotel. Showing her massive inboard flaps and spoilers Back-track runway 22 Some locals fooling around... *the truth is, they are DCA's staff...haha... Close-up, no TK. Entering bay #1 via Juliet. Then, I quickly went down from Tower, go to the other side of terminal building to get closer look. *Thanks for viewing guys. Wait for the official Hajj Flight on 9th September.
  19. I was told that AOR was not certified for 747., so it MAY be a 777 and/or A330 would be more likely. I am ready...hihi...
