The 4th aircraft has been delivered to Lion Indonesia.

Just to add a little-known fact. Before he became a pilot, Capt Ibrahim was a flight engineer. As such he probably knows about the aircraft systems better than many other people.

Thai Airways Aims to Buy Almost 30 Planes to Modernize Fleet
Radzi replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
Can someone make a list of aircraft that TG ever had and a list of major aircraft that TG never had? The second list will probably be shorter. -
The reason why OD's MAX delivery is using ANC/NRT route is that the MAX is not yet EDTO rated. The route is actually shorter than the HNL/PNI route, but more expensive in airways and airport charges. Also LRC/LRD avoid Russian airspace because it takes longer to get the Russian overflight clearance. Maybe with LRF they managed to get it faster hence the Russian route.

It is all about culture, actually. For some culture, saying a prayer is a good thing whilst in others, it is a sign of insecurity. Unfortunately, in this case, there is a clash of culture between the captain and the passengers. Nobody should be blamed.

No order of the MAX10 from Lion Group yet?
-
You may be right.
-
Most likely someone in management or accounting department.

He said to consider, not to buy. Of course, everything will be considered but only the best or most suitable will be bought.

2nd aircraft, LRD probably has arrived in KUL.

Driving to the runway: a new way for airliners to taxi
Radzi replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
Being so excited that the product can tow the aircraft to the runway, probably they forgot the next unglamorous step of returning the bot to the ramp. Maybe it will work with some airports but not others. -
Driving to the runway: a new way for airliners to taxi
Radzi replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
Just before takeoff, at the edge of the runway. That's the whole point of the TaxiBot. -
I've moved over from the dark side, but not really into the new company yet. Still under training.

I hope it will not be another fiasco of the early days of B738 with MH.

Haven't started my NG reactivation yet. But I heard some people are about to start on the MAX differences,

I wonder why the winglet logo is of Lion instead of Batik.

Can't answer this specific question, but there could be several possible reasons. 1. How was the crew schedule? HKG-KUL-HKG sectors are just about the limit of crew duty time. Therefore it could be a tiring duty pattern. 2. How about the allowance received? If they do a turnaround flight, not only it will be tiring but the allowance could be less too, depending on how the allowance is paid. 3. Passenger profile. It is a known fact that certain routes are frequented by passengers that are less easy to please. It is a fact that in the old days, MH crew will try their best to avoid the KUL-MAA-KUL sectors. The flight departs late at night and come back early morning, those days crew only get their meal allowances if the hit the correct timing (breakfast, lunch, and dinner; no allowance if working outside those hours). The MAA flights got the combination of ungodly working hours, very little allowances, long working hours and demanding passengers. Most crew will try to avoid that flight.

Wing flex is less pronounced on 4-engined aircraft probably because the outer engines are pulling the outer wing down. Just my theory.

7 POB = 2 pilots, 5 FA and 0 pax? Not good.

AirAsia India & Indigo A320s in Near Mid-Air Collision Over Varanasi
Radzi replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
What happened to the pilot? They did their job well, and most likely filed the incident report about the TCAS Resolution Alert after landing. -
MH will be operating the A380 to MEL for 4 days only.

Malaysia Airlines B737-8H6 9M-MXX skidded off runway at SBW
Radzi replied to JuliusWong's topic in General Aviation
In 2017 there are still people who believe in this? Personally covering up the logo is a worse step that can be taken, as the whole world already knows whose aircraft was involved. The Sinchew Daily reporter and editor could be the minority exception.
