  1. Leather seats in Ycls? habes la.... (gone) All the best to MH...
  2. Lets pay our respect to Captain Ajya Kukreja. Captain Kukreja's family is now with him in his homeland of India. RIP Disclaimer - I am mentioning the Captain's name in case anyone in Malaysianwings knew him professionally/personally, without any other intention.
  3. The late captain has passed away within 2 minutes, as he experienced some sort of heart attack and vomited. Luckily, there was another senior FO onboard, traveling back to DOH. He assisted to land the aircraft together with the FO. There were only 2paxs onboard in Jclass, crew had placed the body of the pilot at 1 of the Jclass seat. They have to remove the strap from the pilot's shoulder as nobody onboard know that their pilot has passed away. Aircraft registration: A7-AEH, A330-300 with 2class config - 30J/275Y. The late captain is an Indian nationality, born in 1967. Currently, the body is in Serdang hospital, and scheduled to be sent back on tonights flight, QR625.
  4. As per W09 timetable issue8, DOH-KUL v.v. should be oparated by 77W effective 01Jan10; however few changes (or downgraded to be exact) made due to operational, commercial or whatever reason given by HQ, so that: 1. Jan10 - Mix of 332/333/77W operation 2. Feb10 - Mix of 332/333/77L/77W operation 3. Mar10 - Fully operated by 77W, except 05Mar(333) & 29-31Mar(332&333) operation 4. Apr10 - Mix of 332/333/77L/77W operation 5. May10 - Mix of 332/333/77L/77W operation 6. Jun10 (as of 14Jun) - Fully operated by 332/333
  5. Same goes to me, on last Feb, travelled to DOH, was published as 77W, but downgraded last minute to 333, BOTH WAYS!
  6. DOH-KUL v.v. load factor before tagging with DPS was not really justify. (Operating aircraft was AB6.) Therefore. HQ decided to launch DPS (year 2007)with tagging at DOH-KUL v.v. route. Over the years, KULQR managed to built up the load factor, same as DPS. However, KULQR was having difficulties to get even a single seat, as DPS route has been supported strongly by QR network, eventhough route has been upgraded to A333/332 operation. Due to strong built up from KULQR; at same time, SINQR was facing low load factor and JKTQR has strong load factor too, HQ decided to: 1. De-link KUL-DPS v.v. from DOH-KUL v.v., increase frequency from 7 to 11 weekly and upgrade route to B77W 2. Link SIN-DPS v.v. into DOH-SIN v.v. increase frequency to daily and upgrade aircraft to B77W 3. De-link SIN-CGK v.v. from DOH-SIN v.v so that JKT received stand alone route DOH-CGK v.v., 7flights weekly. Operating metal A332 All above changes was from 01Jan10.
  7. if u refer to the previous reply - "Otherwise MH can feed the traffic from Oz. " and my point is not on the domestic route codeshared with MH, but MH also has codeshare agreement with QR on KUL-PER v.v. so that MH is already feeding the trafic from Oz (particularly PER).
  8. On QR, it should be corrected that MH has code share agreement with QR not only on KUL-DOH v.v. MH-QR also have an agreement on sector KUL-PEN v.v., KUL-LGK v.v. AND KUL-PER v.v.. All these three(3) routes (obviously) operated by MH metal. The agreement is from 28March2010 and it has been updated on the GDS.
  9. From the GDS shown that RJ 1st flight to/from KUL will be on 02Jun10. 3x weekly. Oman Air (WY) also will launch flight to/from KUL on 02May. 4x weekly. 1 WY 824 57 KUL MCT 0810 1040 0 332 6:30 2 WY 822 13 KUL MCT 1430 1700 0 332 6:30 WY District Sales Manager for KUL has been appointed (who was the ex/Sales Manager from one of GCC carriers based in KUL). WY key people is now in KUL recruiting people for Town Office & Airport Operation..

  13. From what i heard, biase la that pilgrimage(s) performing hajj must left all the "things" that they have (ie hantu raya ke..) before entering the holy land, unfortunately, the aircraft is the final place that they can "buang" those things, and to make it worse, 9M-MPK is one of the permanent aircraft run for Hajj flight (for years already, rite?)... so can figure already? hehehehehe my source is one of the Hajj crew and he did the recent Hajj flight and that "things" still kacau them on the recent Hajj flights.. hahahaha kesian my friend tu...
  14. extreme low yield? on the same time compete with 3 main ME carrier?
  15. Yup, we are monitoring the route closely. We have heard it since LY, but until now, no news... (knowing MH.. ). no idea on the acft used, timing or whatever details.. But "intelligent tools" did indicated about it..
  16. From our so called "intelligent tools", MH will start IKA service. However, not date fixed yet. some update on QR (in addition of what Fairul has mentioned): 1. New destinations 2010: NRT (23Apr/A332/Daily), CPH(30Mar/A319/4x), ESB(2Apr/A32S/3x), BLR(19Feb/A320/Daily), BCN/SYD(Date/Eqp/Frq TBA) 2. DOH-KUL v.v. - From 1 Feb, all flights will be operated by B77W (42J/293Y) 3. Additional frequencies - Banyak sangat lah.. (too many)
  17. IMHO, I am fully agree with the Mr Wilson. Being part of the planning team of ME airlines based in KUL, the recent decision from MH to order A333X is the best suit with their "immediate" requirement, ie MTOW, IFE, "smarties seat" and etc. We knew that since 1997, MH always made very late decision on the flight/product renewal vs other carriers and obviously we knew that there are too much of "interference" on the decision making. Now, we only can hope that MH will not repeating the same mistake by allowing the interference in making decision. However, we also knew that MH is a GLC and being a GLC (not all) will definitely get involve with these nonsense of interference, gomen minded.. and bla bla bla (tutup mulut) To compare, the top3 ME/GCC carriers are operating A330 (200 or 300) and they are doing very well with this aircraft. More over, this bird will stay for at least another 5 years despite of having 77W, 77L or even 787 and 350 in their fleet list.. The only different with MH is that they have operated the higher MTOW version quite sometime while MH is just about to order..
  18. RBA's new CEO, from what I heard is Malaysian (Ipoh Mali ooo) with background of freighter business. Therefore, PEN is a must destination that they would like to add. For the past 5 years, they have changed at least 4 CEOs (Kwai-Lo, Bruneian itself and this time is Malaysian). Peter Foster, RBA ex-CEo (in 2004 if i am not mistaken) had revealed RBA plan that time to operate all-Airbus aircraft. They even advertised in their website on the recruitment of Airbus 330/340 pilot. However, from what I understand, CEO has quite a hard time to execute what they have planned. Maybe our Bruneian friends in this can shed some lights.. p/s: my 1st post since joining. Sham
