Overbooking is not something new and causing passengers to be kicked out. It happened to many, remember the time when KUL - LHR flights were overbooked and the MH staffs were even assaulted? That could be worse right? Given that she still got a chance to drive back home! Well it does suck if it happen to anyone got kicked out, even to my sis's KCH - SIN. Best is to do the online or mobile check in once it's opened for check in.

Can't believe they closing down Perth! http://www.nst.com.my/news/2017/01/204286/tourism-malaysia-shut-down-four-offices-abroad-says-nazri

Exactly... with robust development in Johor and Iskandar city, there should be some connection for the businessmen to fly and trade on the goods and materials for construction purpose. I noticed quite a lot of Chinese developers in Malaysia and in Iskandar nowadays. But again, let's see how long it could last.

Can't be more boring than Johor other than Legoland? Johor ain't cheap with the influx of Singaporeans, making things more expensive than other sides of Malaysia.

Or even MH!

Cabin Crew on Helping Customer with Cabin Luggage: Yay or Nay?
Mike P replied to Mike P's topic in General Aviation
Apparently not in MY here... AK did it on their own... mostly because this could lead them to earn extra money. But not for other airlines... hmm.. I still think Malaysia is being complacent with the current situation, even security measure, too. -
Cabin Crew on Helping Customer with Cabin Luggage: Yay or Nay?
Mike P replied to Mike P's topic in General Aviation
Chill guys! Let's argue professionally here. Again it's a matter of courtesy, surely cabin crew is not obliged to help passengers to store their luggage and surely not cabin crew is obliged not to help. What about minor companion who travelling alone? Not tall enough to store their luggage up there? or even a midget for goodness sake? I do think the ground crew must strictly ensure passengers not to bring oversize or overweight luggage on board. -
Cabin Crew on Helping Customer with Cabin Luggage: Yay or Nay?
Mike P replied to Mike P's topic in General Aviation
If the bag isn't a cabin bag, it isn't supposed to be carried on board at the first place. And again passengers who boarded late may have troubles to locate a space to store their luggage, hence, cabin crew usually will help to find a place for them, too. -
Airline passenger left with egg on his face following backfired complaint Read more: http://metro.co.uk/2016/07/27/airline-passenger-left-with-egg-on-his-face-following-backfired-complaint-6032471/#ixzz4FfZRM5Je What do you guys think of this? For me, there's a mindset for customer service and needless to say for flight cabin crew like customer is always right. The argument may seem on one sided and Southwest seems not commenting anything, too. I could see even in MH or AK, regardless how small and petite of the female cabin crews were, they would also help the passengers to load the luggage at the overhead compartment.

MAB to Operate Some Leisure Flights from KLIA2/LCCT2 Beginning 2017
Mike P replied to V Wong's topic in General Aviation
I was flying out to JHB on Friday morning on OD at 8.15AM flight. At 8AM, I couldn't see any gate indicated for the flight on the flight info screen and managed to ask a OD staff to direct me to B1, to my surprise, the gates were fully occupied in the morning and many OD passengers would need to travel via bus to an opened tarmac to board the flights. Wow! The move may have saved cost but it would confused passengers indeed. And what which outbound flights would be put at KLIA 2? Short Haul? The transit time could be longer for passengers travelling from one terminal to another and would it mean a new Golden Lounge would need to be invested in KLIA 2 too? How would AK say again? LCCT? KLIA2? Sigh.. -
He has the power to "let go" (better word than fire?) people whom he think is incompetent at work, and hiring the right team, so this won't be his excuse.
