  1. Anyone come across this? http://www.flyregent.com/core/slider_story/44
  2. Is MH crazy or what? HKG and NRT are the most justified route to be served with A380 for these two airports are OW hub. Or they should serve AMS with A380 too for the partnership with KLM.
  3. I hope they could expedite KLIA2, can't stand the current LCCT anymore, so cramped and warm.
  4. They would need to sort out the open air space first.
  5. Mishap of luggage by several airlines is norm... but the incident above doesn't seem so to me!
  6. Just like it's a relaxing and slow approaching landing... but suddenly turned out to be accelerating and heading up to the sky.... You can hear the engine like throttling real loud like I've never heard before. I know there're curfew in Australia airports but is SYD really busier than KUL or SIN? Never really experienced those before so I'm curious. If it's rare, it's fine, but what I heard this occurs quite often.
  7. I tend to agree so I don't blame on the TT. I actually got to know a little more details when the captained stepped out and spoke with one of the stewardesses while I disembarked the plane.
  8. Hi Guys, I was on Tiger Airways Australia, TT 508, from MEL to SYD yesterday. As the plane was about to land and approach the runway, all of the sudden, the captain re-climbed up the plane vigorously and the plane soared back up into the sky. Everyone on board was shocked and wondering what had gone wrong. Only later the captain announced that they had to recircle the plane for couple of minutes due to there was another plane, JQ 330, still not being cleared on the runway. I have never experienced something like that before and when I told this to the airport staffs in SYD, they were speechless and seemingly shocked too. Then, they would say what you could expect much from a budget airline and sometimes thing like this happened, too, in SYD. I, on the other hand, won't think that TT should completely shoulder the responsibility because the captain would only approach the runway after given the clearance by the ATC, but somehow got revoked and they had to turn back. I would think ATC would have to bear much of the blame for this incident. What do you guys think?
  9. I would have to say there's so much to offer in Sarawak but due to our lousy planning and lousy facilities in the state, poor connection, thing just ain't working. However, I do notice several beaches like Sematan Beach, Santubong, Damai have gone through significant improvement, which is a good thing, yet, there're still more to be done before they could promote to the locals and foreigners and hence, justify more flights coming in.
  10. I think it's already quite a flaw for AirAsia Japan to set up the based in NRT instead of HND, separating from their sister airlines, D7.
  11. It's funny to see my west Malaysian friends always carry along their passports while travelling to East Malaysia though MyKad would just be sufficient. I'm not sure how widely MyKad could be recognised by the world but it's definitely recognised in Australia. I got a friend at Sydney airport was asked to flash his MyKad at immigration checkpoint before he could be allowed to enter. We can also use MyKad to enter casino in Australia, as a proof of aging 18 and above.
  12. If it's a fire, I don't think they got the time to return to SIN, probably would have to make emergency landing in KUL. Indeed, the flight just departed for 2 hours and it stated that there were few suffering some minor injuries, that's like crap. It would be handy for the First Aid kit came in place. The worst turbulence I ever had was on the flight BKI - KCH, the hardest shake I ever had where none could stand still and for stewardess who were in the middle of the aisle were forced to sit on passengers' laps until the captain has flown past the turbulence.
  13. I was given two full bags twice. Once at KUL - KCH flight due to one of the flight attendants was my nephew while the other was on the KMG - KUL flight as the flight attendant said... "ada banyak, boleh ambil semua!"
  14. TR will end SIN - KCH service by end of Jun 2013. Quite a shame, they used to make it like 12 x weekly flight on this route. TR may not offer the best service but their air fares are quite cheap.
  15. Don't quite understand how could this error would occur.
  16. Bigger impact on FY as they not only losing the pilots but also start competing with OD on the peninsular routes.
  17. I was told that many Maswings pilots have resigned and gone to OD due to high pay, 15k per month compared to Maswings only 8k per month. OD will also give 150 extra as allowance for every flight being flown by a pilot. Due to this, a notable BKI - LDU flight has been reduced from 5 times daily to 3 times daily, starting tomorrow.
  18. Actually you can use your own normal one pin headset to connect, no issue. MH headset socket is 3 pins, unlike OD, it's one big head pin so passenger has to buy and rent by MYR 15.
  19. I've taken one previously. I didn't take the today's one, so just leave it at the seat pocket.
  20. Cheaper than Emirates and Etihad is no doubt, but I still think Kuwait is the cheapest, though I'm not sure about the service, but at least better than D7? haha.
  21. I guess most people prefer to fly MH big jumbo. But based on the current history where A380 may face technical difficulty at anytime and cause massive delay, it could somehow swing the passengers to AF, too. But then again, MH is offering daily A380 flights between KUL to AF vv.!
  22. I guess that's why AF is asking to form partnership or codeshare with MH. AF is not only competing with MH, but also with KL on SkyTeam routes and connection. However, I think the load is still doing well on the Economy class, probably depending on seasons to travel.
  23. Those chartered flights were under the direction of PMO. Even if they do really ferry the phantom voters, how could they ever admit? So no point of keep arguing with them.
  24. I was on the flight back to KUL from KCH. Noticing today there were several chartered flights utilising B747 between KUL - KCH / BKI. While at the baggage reclaim, I noticed all the crowd of passengers waiting for their luggage are typical Malaysian. Nothing fishy going on. Hmm... I hope the truth could be revealed asap, because I hate rumours and lies and it spread like a disease!
