  1. I was thinkin....."Durian Express".....haha
  2. I think the gomen really need to seriously think and ask where they want to take MH too in the near future.....to beat the likes of SQ,CX or to beat the likes of AK, D7.....also, I think the current management should be changed to those who really knows how to manage an airline....I think the current one is still not doing its job well Take for exp CX, almost the whole management is foreigners and at least 1/2 of the air crew are also foreigners.....n they are still making tons of money....I fly CX every month for work (usually PEN-HKG-TPE route) n all I can say almost every flight is full to the brim.......n the service I get from CX (in my opinion) is much better from MH......
  3. Nah....i don't think M'sian gomen will give 2 hoots about it.....if they were really serious, they could have done something moons ago......rather than sit down and see MH decline like a roller coaster
  4. Just read the article......next thing they will put up roller blinds.....

  7. Some news on Peach LCC Japan’s first budget carrier named ‘Peach’ May 25, 2011TOKYO, May 25 — Japan’s first budget carrier said yesterday it would operate under the name Peach, and pledged to deliver the sophistication of “Cool Japan.” A&F Aviation, set up by All Nippon Airways (ANA) with Hong Kong and Japanese investment funds in February, changed its corporate name to “Peach Aviation” to symbolise longevity, energy and happiness — as peaches do in Japan, it said. “The name Peach was chosen to reflect our mission of becoming a completely new type of airline that links destinations in Japan and Japan with Asia,” Peach Aviation chief executive Shinichi Inoue said in a statement. “Our airline will also reflect the smart sophistication that has come to represent the words ‘Cool Japan’,” he said. Cabin crew will wear casual-look uniforms comprising plain shirts and trousers. The company also unveiled its aircraft design, showing an Airbus 320 in white, pink and fuchsia. Anticipating booming Asian travel demand, the company was set up to be Japan’s main low-cost carrier operating both international and domestic routes. It aims to begin domestic services out of Kansai International Airport in the western Japanese city of Osaka in March 2012. Service between Kansai and Incheon airport in Seoul will commence no later than May 2012, the airline said. The new company is 66.7 per cent owned by Japanese investors, with ANA holding a 33.4 per cent stake. Hong Kong-based private equity firm First Eastern Investment holds the remaining 33.3 per cent stake, the maximum foreign ownership currently allowed in Japan. Japan’s air travel market is known for its high fares. Cheaper domestic carriers such as Skymark and Air Do have been unable to offer the kind of heavily discounted fares associated with budget airlines in the United States and Europe due to higher operating costs. ANA has said that the new carrier would offer tickets at half current fare levels. The company has said it would cut costs by requiring customers to pay for all in-flight services and operate only with e-tickets. — AFP/Relaxnews

  14. I'm not sure about MH but as for CX, you can go to their website n do a dummy booking for the dates you need...from there u can see the different level of pricing based on different booking class....Even in Economy (I assume u r traveling in coach), there are a few booking classes...Also Jan is a high travel period so you may get a bigger aircraft (B747, B777ER, B777-300, A340-300) compared to the A330,
  15. Tried to do a dummy booking for KUL - PER on Dec 2011. It still shows B772 instead of A330...
