let's see how long those routes from JHB last.

AK keep on saying aerobridge is not a necessity, with aerobridge it incur higher airport tax thus make their fare no longer affordable. Excuse me sir, airport tax is paid by passenger, AK like to victimize airport tax as an element that making their airfare no longer low cost. that's AK.

PEN is at reaching the limit earlier than KKIA due to political reason, the challenges faced by PEN will be tougher than KKIA had comparatively, PEN can afford an upgrade that can last for maybe another 5 to 6 years, that also limited to terminal expansion, no extra room available to PEN for now, if the tourism growth momentum is there then PEN will have another headache already. However the room for Sabah to grow in tourism is fairly larger than PEN. But the space available to grow also larger than PEN. yup, this is a good idea, actually it can be done with AirAsia as they prefers using their red lorry stairs rather than aerobridge (as they can perform dual exit embark disembark that get things done faster.). it is so funny that in PEN the aircraft is parked near to the aerobridge and the passenger are disembark via the red lorry staircase, and the passenger walking the stairs into the arrival hall.

when you don't have enugh apron, havoc for planes especially during bad weather, when you settle the apron, the immigration counter is the bottleneck, done the immigration counter, then the carousel will be another bottleneck, when the terminal and apron is upgraded, the access road will be the bottleneck, once the access road is done, jalan tanjung aru will be the bottleneck. If everything's done together then there will be no headache, but as a malaysian, we know how they execute things, one by one, so headache will be one by one.

Airbus to Study Opening Up FAL in Negeri Sembilan
Kenny Sing replied to Mohd Suhaimi Fariz's topic in General Aviation
ultimate target of TF is escape from the grip of MAHB, to build an airport that they manage on their own, while making as least investment as they could. If NS giving free land and supportive on every proposal arise by TF. if the FAL is a go, then we really going to see Labu mega LCCT, imagine a gigantic tesco like terminal. with no aerobridge. -
should put the old T2 for a better use instead, that will able to ease up the congestion. another idea is expand the apron and use airside transfer, it's nothing new in other country. but in malaysia we rarely seen that happening.
-
they should implement like how AK did, a timbang at the entrance to departure hall.

Airbus to Study Opening Up FAL in Negeri Sembilan
Kenny Sing replied to Mohd Suhaimi Fariz's topic in General Aviation
Guess TF will dish up his Labu mega LCCT plan again when the FAL plan is a go. Imagine everything under one roof, flight ops, MRO, service parts, technical resources, imagine the cost savings AK gonna get. -
most of the time students would be the major affected group
-
this is a good idea, spare the ATR/Vikings space for AK jets, a space or 2 will help at times.
-
if AK to be move back to T2 will be voices of complain by TF stating not enough parking for his aircrafts, i remember there's one time i'm flying AK from T2 in July 2013, and flights are deferred due to stormy weather earlier on, after the weather iis cleared, it end up whole apron choked up and one or two aircraft on holding at taxiway for their parking at apron. departure hall is packed to the brim that time, toilet is really dire condition, the immiaigration line is choked up. Bringing back T2 to operational state is one thing, to upgrade the terminal to sustain AK's passenger volume growth is another, to handle sudden surge of volume will be another headache issue. Probably make T2 as the spot for their long haul ops if they really sincere in expanding their ops in KKIA. If they are sincere in growing KKIA T2, then let's talk further. It is all chicken and egg talk afterall.

i wonder how much MAB have in their pocket to spend for the so call training given their financial situation now. We can have a lot of fantasy idea when we have the luxury of doing it, however, this is not the time for being fantasy. -

i didn't get the logic of adding 2 more aircraft type that able to increase the profit though. -
i observe Air Hong Kong A330-300F EI-HEA likes to flying circuit around WMKP airspace during lunch time. Is it some functional verification or to clock up pilot's flight hour? Kinda curious.

hopefully AK not going to launch and suspend Ipoh flight again. TF always complaining about Ipoh airport runway is too short. it had been extended with additional 200m worth of runway length but i'm not sure how significant that 200m will be. -

actually the refund credits shouldn't impose a time limit as well.
