  1. oh? who announced the flights? Also who is the agent here in malaysia?
  2. Here hoping that our Japanese spotters are all well and safe from harm
  3. MAR: other than the two planes are being sponsored by the crown prince, any other news piece about the deal? wetlease ke, dry lease ke, one off ke, for the whole duration ke?
  4. a small image of the first two flights from jeddah posted at Anjung Tinjau: http://www.malaysianwings.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5613&st=280&p=273335entry273335
  5. DSC00013 by Memerang, on Flickr I caught the first two flights from Jeddah back to Malaysia with my cameraphone, being greeted by the top brass of Airasia, Malaysia Airlines and the govt at the Bunga Raya complex. Hence mind the low rez and the distance of the photograph. Aircrafts 9M-MPQ and 9M-XAC btw.
  6. Ramani: what i meant was your shots looks similar in the sense that the airlines you shot are almost the same as the ones i shot in my post one page back. Its that time of the day when the same airlines are in KLIA i suppose
  7. For some reason what Ramani has on his list is somewhat mirroring what i did the last time hahaha
  8. I was at KUL last saturday, for an assignment for my workplace - Covering the 738 from Garuda into KL. After which, i stayed back for a couple of hours for some bout of anjung spotting. The girl - PK-GMM straight from Sukarno-Hatta. Her turnaround was fast - even with the VIPs milling around the area. This was from B2 BTW. Later i moved to Anjung Tinjau proper to see her off back to CGK. here she is heading to 32L. Here is 9M-FFB, which i think was heading to KCH or BKI. A visitor from China - B-6290 Our very own 9M-MXC, seen here for her take-off to places unknown. I did notice that she and some other birds did not take the whole 32L runway to take off - normal occurrence? A trifecta of A330s, starting with... ... A Sri Lankan 4R-ADF.... ... Then an Ethihad. How unlucky i am, nose blur and back rego covered just enough by the winglet... ... and an uncommon visitor (for me), Air Mauritius 3B-NBL... Here is a family picture that we will see more and more at KLIA FFA,FFB and MLD all docked at the contact pier. Sorry didn't catch the regos of the other two 734s there Also, this visitor has been with us for the past few days - National Airways N155CA. A rare bird the DC8 indeed. I wonder what is it doing here? Anyone noticed that most of the planes landing in KUL are now Sumajau dancers? A330, B738 All photos by Memerang, on Flickr
  9. question: should we continue anjung tinjau or make a new one for 2011?
  10. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Malaysia-Airlines/Boeing-737-8H6/1843370/M/ Suzuki-san, is this your picture? if it is, it looks nice! if its not, it still looks nice!
  11. Hmm. Then my possible KUL-KCH-BKI-HND can be done with firefly!
  12. Hmm. didnt know that the BKI-HND flight is tacked together with KCH. That is a route i can try. Mushrif: i did check the one-way leg for HND-KUL and its going to cost about 750 ringgit so it should be alright, i think. SV: of course i am! planning to do 10 days for the whole trip, as this is a trip with friends. But my Aviation side so itching wanna do three airlines in one go so....
  13. You guys are so funny la As for my journey - i was thinking of doing an FY/MH/D7 trip. hence the KUL-BKI-HND-KUL routing. one - i want to try the Oren airline (even though i have flown with 9M-FYA as 9M-MLA before) two - i want to try the BKI-HND route using the new hardware three - I want to try the HND-KUL using the Red bus. i am going to spend the same amount of time flying anyway so might as well break it up to pretty little legs no?
  14. Maybe if you could package it like the airport experience they have in australia - make it feel like its really you going up on a flight, complete with flight management and all, it can even attract our neighbours to come and try it. Of course, you should also have a short time window where any walk-ins can just take a nice joyride in the plane.
  15. Hey guys. was thinking of doing a year end trip to tokyo via haneda, and being the AV geek that i am, i am thinking of doing the above routing. The only problem i see is the KUL-BKI part. thinking of trying the FY flights, but i checked their schedules - its either early in the morning or it will land 30 minutes before the BKI-HND flight. Logic dictates that i get the early morning flight.Or i should be crazy and get the latter flight? Also, anyone has any idea where will FY land? main terminal or budget terminal in BKI?
  16. Suzuki-san! have you managed to capture D7 or MH flights in HND on photo? thanks
  17. http://hnlrarebirds.blogspot.com/2010/12/malaysias-9m-mli.html Did anybody see this? THe new leased fleet is directly painted with the new c/s now.
  18. http://tmi.me/4q89W he says that it will cost 51 ringgit per pax. uh what?
  19. nice one kieth. was trying to find spotters, but i was on the other side of the plane so cant see any.
  20. Thanks for taking my pics guys hahaha (was inside of 9M-MXA)
  21. Ikman: not sure what you mean by light or heavy. It is comfortable for the two hour flight from KUL to kk. Jani: for now its power only but tengku said possible to have media playback in the future. Mushrif: well it is a socket for a trio of seats yes. But yes power possible for every seat.
  22. Updating in the plane haha. First seat impression - nice and comfy. Leather feels supple and it is very comfortable. Seat pitch is actually good, and yes, power sockets for every class and every seat. http://plixi.com/p/57016521 new IFE. Touch screen too!
  23. http://plixi.com/p/57004934 The plane readying to fly to BKI now. Tweeting/posting live from Rimba loungue at KLIA. 9M-MXB and MXC confirmed to be on its way within the next 6 weeks, and 9M-MXA and 9M-MXB will be based at BKI. More updates as it comes
  24. I wonder if Capt Sakai will be the pilot for my next flight to NRT end of the month.
