This MASwings ATR72-500 was given lot of coverage since it first arrived at Malaysia soil..Since I frist spot this 9M-MWA at SZB, that the moment I also felt the best moment I ever fell for such an event.. Unfortunate for me..Im no longer as 1 of Sawarak population during last Friday..If not,I also want to join all of you.. Thanks for sharing with us this great moment..I really appreciate it.. Any source of this video??..I want to watch it if it available..Its not an easy task to serve interior of Borneo folks and how difficult their to survive..its my ambition one day I'll coming back to Sarawak and and make a visit.. This is favorite livery since 1st time I saw this livery with Fokker50..Nice colour combination and tail design.. Emm thanks..I wait for long time to see how the this ATR galley look like.. Im so jeloues with you teacher Kenneth..Nice goodies.. the most nicer plane in town now..I wish to posses it..This model most exclusive cikgu, with MAswings logo at stand base also MASwings rego..keep it properly..I wish MASwings to make this model as their merchandise soon and I want to buy it..

First good to hear all safe include pilots and paseengers, any animal as cargo during that flight?? :rolleyes: I believe it difficult to us to get any picture of this accident plane because Ba'kelalan is really interior of Borneo..And I no idea how MASwings engineer to fix/repair this Twin Otter..If this plane need tp write off mean Ba'kelalan Airport will have a statue.. hehehe.. It a call sign for MASwings to replace this Twin Otter..Actually this DHC-6 need to be replace first instead the Fokker 50 when we talk about age of the plane..But they purchase during that time may be to get bit cheapest price tag I believe..

Yes I agree with Syed..The only public transport available are RapidKL (RM2.00 only for hole day ) also Merto Bus but I cant recall the bus num..The Metro Bus you can get at Central Market/Kota Raya staiton.. Taking Putra LRT Kelana Jaya Station sound bit far lah Syed..May be KTM Komuter will be other option, nearest station is Subang Jaya and you may take cab from there..

Nice memories guys for those who are veteran in this area..I don't have any good memories at SZB T1 terminal because I just small boy during that time..The only thing that still in my mind the huge board show arrive and departure flight.. The T1 aerobridge still around Malaysia..If I not mistaken, 2 of it at Kota Bahru some at Sibu airport..Base on what saw from airliners.net picture.. But most of time during that time I spent at T3 terminal because my dad work there before..I enjoy watching small domestic aircraft from the window panel..The most wonderful time during my childhood time was when my dad took me to the T3 airport while his on duty,I stand in front of the window as long as I could and I really appreciate that moment, dont want to miss even a second..Sometimes I ask my mom to bring me there..We took Srijaya bas num 47 from KL to Subang Airport.. Honestly I bit disappoint with a dissension to demolish the T1 terminal..Not even any landmark left as what Mr. Rozhan mention..

Wow finally the ATR at KCH after long journey from Toulouse..a week at SZB and few days at BKI and now at KCH and soon fly back to BKI for inaugural flight.. Thanks to Nick R for the coverage even Iggy not around.. :good: Emm did someone get this plane from end of other runway at usual place people spot plane at KCH..sik ada kah.. :rolleyes:

Nice and many thanks to Capt Radzi for this shoot..I personally say that this MASwings ATR72 much better than Firefly ATR either the livery scheme also interior with IFE.. Capt., any pictures on kitchen/galey?? Next stop..KCH..Ready...

Yes I heard this rumor long time ago but I don’t know the truth.. Since MAS operate twice daily flight to LHR, the morning flight not really profitable flight (MH 2)..MAS operate to LHR just want to fulfill the landing slots given to them.. MAS has 18 slots/landing rights given if I not mistaken, including four slots given to BA long time ago and since BA no longer operate to KL sector so MAS obtain it.. Some people said that it hard to get landing right at LHR and once you surrender the landing rights/slots and it extremely hard to get back. I also heard that others Asia carrier ask MAS to give them some slot/landing right to them but till today I don’t see any news about it.. Personally I don’t why MAS need to operate twice daily service to LHR also AMS and close other routes round Europe, such as Zurich and Vienna. MAS operate twice daily flight to LHR because of passengers from Down Under want make a trip to LHR and make stop over at KUL. It hard for me to sallow that MAS can’t afford to operate 3 times weekly flight to ZRH. And now reducing flight from/to FRA..Will be next reducing frequency on Paris/PAR??

Thanks Mr. Rozhan..I don’t think so most of them have MAS Grads card since MAS introduce Every Day Low Fare program this year.. There are going crazy soon, only 2 months to go to ensure all going fine and cheap.. Yes I collect the timetable book and bad for me manage to get 3 version only and no longer available since MAS had E-timetable also pdf format timetable on their website..Saving cost lah kononya.. Ohh really Pyan..The FOC ticket given MAS I assume..How much travel agent will charge to us normally for this thing..RM 10 per head before but I no idea now.. Do MAS counter will entertain us to make such huge booking??

Yes MASwings ATR72-500 9M-MWA will be departs 1.00PM from Subang on Monday and I don’t where this ATR heading to, but I believe ATR will perform straight flight to KCH. Most probably this ATR will be around KCH area for several days before launching for test flight at her new home town. The launch ceremony will be on Friday by Pehin Seri Abdul Taib Mahmud at Hornbill Skyways hanger.

My friend's father work as Horbill Skyways before and he always visit his friends at Horbill Hanger..So he took me for short visit to hanger..

Emm look somewhere in future there will be no more B737 serve at inter-Borneo route..It good idea for MAS to cut cost of operation but they need more ATR for this I guess..

What happen MAS now...Why suddenly they reducing their frequency to FRA??Last month my aunt comes from Germany and she said that the aircraft fully loaded..Please don't say all because of yield or revenue per km.. We had talk same topic here before..Why MAS need to take unpopular step (reducing frequency) around Europe??Sad to hear all this while others airlines such SIA and Royal Brunei take advantage with this situation and more, they introduce holiday package to Malaysia.. What A shame..

Hello Good Morning and Good Day to you guys.. I need a help and advice from our MW members here.. My friend will organize a trip to BKI for community work somewhere around Kota Kinabalu, this coming November or may be January next year. They will travel in large group around 40 of them. All of them are full time public university students. I just want know few this here, I have MAS Timetable book (26 March - 28 October 2006 version), where on last section of this book has section on "National Network Special Fares and Main Condition". I wonder if this type of fare still available now after MAS introduce new ticket fare structure last year. Type of Fare : Group Fare Fare Basis : YGV3/SGV3 Discount Level : 50% rebate off the normal return economy class. I try search on MAS website but no info for Group Booking unlike AirAsia..Also how to contact if I want to ask question also make reservation beside calling MAS call center.. For AK, I just don’t understand this "System fares (based on average fare per passenger)"..How they calculate the fare? If any you have this experience before, kindly please share with me..
