1. Makes KLIA look like 3rd world.lol
2. they should follow what they do in Australia, where a CBO (cabin baggage office) will be there at gate 40 mins to departure.A pa will be made to collect your cabin baggage tags. They then put their bags on the scale and if less then 7kg tagged, other wise extra charges apply.
3. youre so right about toilet improvement kandiah.I did complain/informed the staff there when i landed from akl that there were small flies/bugs/dont know species lol in the toilet and wasn't a good look.He said he will take care of it. sad to hear once a top airport hotel in the world going on a downward spiral, fully agreed they should allow a chain like accor hotels but at the standard of novotel or pullman but not ibis to manage it. they def need to replace the wobbling aerotrain too.Or at very least put some dampers with mods for it to be a smoother ride.
4. sorry lee did not understand what u meantby " From the way FM taped up their 737 max 8 at sha".
5. And place you on top of that gigantic teddy bear of yours!then both of you can do inter terminal transfer on yr maglev and save half the PSC!
6. Klia seems to be sliding lower and lower as years go past by on world airport ranking. What are some of the basic ideas that can be implemented for passengers to improve the services. sadly at this moment it looks way more dated and worn and could do with a major facelift.Even Auckland international departure which is recently renovated beat it by miles. When i was there i was desperately looking looking to carge my phone land side and approached help desk and asked where can i find seats with usb chargers and there we non on at land side wit a couple on air side,i was informed.Like changi gets their seats attached with USB from Malaysia s why cant Malaysia airport implement the same? The toilets need to be redone big time as well. what else/ideas can improve the airport services. .
7. ha ha i don't have to cause there is enough safety experts knocking on Boeing's door.!here are links to some examples. https://www.wsj.com/articles/boeing-withheld-information-on-737-model-according-to-safety-experts-and-others-1542082575 https://www.seattletimes.com/business/boeing-aerospace/failed-certification-faa-missed-safety-issues-in-the-737-max-system-implicated-in-the-lion-air-crash/ And the very CEO's you're talking about are the culprits and should be held accountable for the lost of Innocent lives, as they tried to save cost sheepishly for transition from NG to max (they kept the MCAS feature on a low key other wise FAA may have asked them for a new certification type)and wanted just a simple few hours training.Had they gone ahead with a complete new certification for the max 8/or better elaborate information on the MCAS in the first place, the pilots of those flights would have been more equip to handle the catastrophe. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-11-13/lion-air-crash-more-pilot-training-needed-on-boeing-737-max/10493470 As a matter of fact there is already a case against them by one family as we speak. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-ethiopia-airplane-lawsuit/family-of-american-woman-sues-boeing-ethiopian-airlines-over-737-max-crash-idUSKCN1RG27G hope so too.
8. They can reprogram the software but at the end of the day bexause the center of gravity of this aircraft is no more as per original design, it needs the software to keep it level when sppeds r slow and isnt very forgiving.the general public has lost its confidence in this model. And also lost confidence in boeing as far as the max is concerned. https://calgaryherald.com/news/world/flyers-looking-to-avoid-boeing-737-model-find-little-love-from-airlines/wcm/3dff7270-0c9c-41e1-9bd0-9cf0259bad0b
9. Haha just voted!thanks waiping. The final report isnt out yet but as per preliminary report thats the scenario faced by the the crew. The final report will just add more details to this. The crew of the Ethiopian Airlines jet that crashed shortly after takeoff last month performed all of the procedures recommended by Boeing when the plane started to nose dive but could not save it, according to a preliminary report released Thursday by Ethiopia's government. url="https://i.stuff.co.nz/business/world/111811786/ethiopian-airlines-crew-performed-all-boeing-procedures-but-could-not-control-the-jet "]https://i.stuff.co.nz/business/world/111811786/ethiopian-airlines-crew-performed-all-boeing-procedures-but-could-not-control-the-jet "]https://i.stuff.co.nz/business/world/111811786/ethiopian-airlines-crew-performed-all-boeing-procedures-but-could-not-control-the-jet
10. In my opinion yes for the sake of safety,as we learn more about the vulnerability of the max.according to reuters the black box data revealed that the ethopian pilots did exactly what the new AD by Boeing, but that made the ending even shorter then lion air.
11. While that will be an ideal situation but they will incur massive penalty if they cancel the max order all together instead of switching to a different Boeing variant.
12. Its very clear now that the 737 max family is very software depended on stall characteristics and hence carries a element of risk in case software malfunction during a stall situation. Its a blessing in disguise then MH has not taken any deliveries of this latest plane and hence an opportunity to cancel/switch frames.what do u guys think.
13. cause when u ask pax on every row its slows service down, people only then start to decide which choice they want and sometimes discussion pursuits with family and the crew is left waiting for a decision to be made. Then next row same story. And so on and so forth.Hence by saying couple of rows ahead the passengers can then decide and are ready when the crew reaches there,The most civilized way would be to use PA and announce the menu choices in Y/and use PTV
14. 1.There is only 1 way forward for malaysia airlines. To be acquired by a foreign company who has deep pockets and as well as good air coverage in Europe.MH have asia/Australasia pretty well covered. Better fleet management and better product delivery as well. 2.On the Nasi lemak issue, its getting more and more less.On my recent trip to Auckland i though the NL i got somehow wasn't rite so i asked crew if this is how it is meant to be and they said yes.Just a mini egg on it.No peanuts/bilis anymore as well.Still tasted good tho. 3. With the luck they have been having so far, they should think of cancelling their max 8/10 orders and switch to A320 NEo
15. Kul stopover flying from hamburg/oman then kl.
16. Had a bad shock on MH service to Melbourne.saw a girl and her bag was in front of the exit.So the crew told her the bag cannot be kept there. Then she added "So what are you waiting for?Put it up in the locker !In a loud tone in front of all of the passengers! Josh is a waste of time.Just trying to get attention and generate web traffic at the exppense of MH
17. Did kul/akl on the 330 200 multiple times, the last time 2 weeks back, i got an old 330 200 (no mood lighting) and was seated last row mid cabin with toilet behind,No recline for seat.Since I had the next seat vacant I managed t survive it. Service was above average from the crew on this flight as far as MH is concerned in recent times.Could be they felt sorry for my predicament but thats just an assumption on my end, Also did kul london with A350 on that trip and cabin Y had only 80 of us,Sadly.Return flight was Qatar via Doha till kul, They should use the old 330 200 for asian cities and the newer ones for akl. .
18. The aviation industry is very competitive and everyone is looking in every direction to lower cost.If a joint venture 50/50 is set up by these 2 to service/perform heavy checks they will safe a fortune.AK has 22 and MH around 20. Is this possible?whats the odds to achieve this?
19. On the last weeks service was full both ways with less then 10 seats available.
20. I have flown on the air berlin akl/kul/akl 6 times now and i find the plane in much better condition then MHs own 330s.Much cleaner overall and great IFE just touch screen and no remote thingy. Personally i prefer the new service that they do on the 332 (they cant carry 2 meal svc eqpt on the 332) so one of the service is via meal box,an orange,up & go drink ex akl/water bottle ex kul,a super mini choc(perfect) and so on.All handed out ala cart,no tray.Even the crew i spoke to prefers that. Also previously they used to call this airline Delay-sia air as flights out of Auckland always delay by an hour or more due inbound flight delay. But since the 332,the aircraft layovers auckland from noon to 10pm so no delay whatsoever anymore.
21. Due unaable to correctly certify speed it made a super hard landing damaging front nose gear, possibly hydraulic leak and could not taxi on it own poeer anymore
22. 350mg allowed into australia,talcum included
23. Qantas uses their A332 for SYD AKL flights up from previous 737 services. The seat backs does not feature Screens but has a holder instead which can fit any camera, ipad and tablets. Then you just log on to Q streaming and access the wide library options of music, movies etc.But yesterday on the flight there was also an I pad in seat pockets for IFE access.
