9M-MRO search- 21 March 2014, Southern Indian Ocean updates: First AP-3C Orion departed to the location at 0615 today. GLEX (VH-TGG) along with a second AP-3C Orion departed around 0830. VH-TGG due back in PER at 1406 this afternoon. Third AP-3C ETD 1000, P-8A ETD 1300.

It is rumoured that 9M-MPP was towed out from the hangar earlier today and likely to enter service any time soon. It's in the original red-blue cheatline scheme.

P-8A 168429 departed SZB for PER earlier in the day as MY102. It was announced today that UAE is sending a C-17 and a Dash-8.

There are two Atlas Air B744F currently en-route to KUL from Avalon, B744F N493MC QF7581 ETA 2000 B744F N409MC QF7591 ETA 0025

Singapore Airlines Cargo B744F 9V-SFG SQ7285 due in this afternoon from Melbourne. ETA 1435.

Excellent shots, Chaity! That C-40 in that scheme is very rare around this area, it's based in Andrews AFB. There's also a ROKAF C-130H (05-183) and a USN P-3 (161764) stationed at SZB.

Has anyone photographed 9M-MPR in its new c/s?

I've been informed that Atlas Air B744F (N476MC) arrived Penang today from Abu Dhabi. It is operating on behalf of Etihad Cargo. There were also rumours that an IAI Astra SPX (B-20001) was in Penang yesterday. It is a target tug based in Taiwan.

A Turkish goverment jet (A320CJ/G550) is planned to KUL from Japan on 8th January. No info on the ETA yet.
