  1. Some thought killing would get them MORE attention.
  2. Enjoying so far. Keep the pics coming, Pieter! Same as Imran, never touched a Fokker!!
  3. Same same la. As long as it means "Boss". No, seriously, MD=CEO in terms of role. Just a different name. Salary-wise, don't know.
  4. Often considered but not influential.
  5. Pilot: Ahh...a few bumps usually fix the problem! Another one here, this time with an IL-76 Lucky this one survived.
  6. Always happen to me when I'm in an interview. Not my phone though (phew~), but the interviewer's. And an idea strucked my mind. If they allow cell phones inflight, wouldn't that be a safety/security risk? People could set off bombs with cell phones, you know.
  7. How about Naked and Unconscious? Then airlines can save on new seats and IFE - can cram more pax per flight too!
  8. Awesome shot!! You can never take this kind of shot with the commercial jets, can you?
  9. they've moved a bit forward in terms of user-friendliness, but agree with Fendy, should put a small logo next to the flight number!
  10. Sad indeed. But Radzi, if you said experience will tell you how far you can bend the rules, those two pilots are quite senior in GA aren't they?
  11. Ermm...English, Seth?
  12. Sneeze, something more detailed here.
  13. Hi all, Tony's back! Not much to share with you lots, just a few old pics when I was sorting my photo album. Dates back to 29 Nov 2006, my flight back to KUL, from SYD that is. MH122 @ 3pm-ish. From the way it looks like, it should belong to the Logbook, but I have no TR, so I'll just slot it in OH - unless the mods want to move it. From the terminal, whilst my gf was queueing up for some Krispy Kreme. OzJet, the Aussie all-Business class budget airline for 3 months then went under. Charter services now. Mike Papa Echo, my carrier back to KUL. I saw something rolling down the taxiway as we taxied out to 16R for departure. And it's Jetstar International's A330! Roaring off 16R overlooking Botany Bay. Bye-bye Sydney~! I'll be back again! (I am now)
  14. What Keith said. Cabin of A320 looks and feels larger (just), but neither is more comfortable than the other. And no QF doesn't operate A320s. But my vote goes to the 737, still. Obvious reasons - training, maintenance, everything. Upgrade, don't switch - it costs more! Then again, every year they review the same stack of papers and nothing gets done. I won't put a bet on it anymore.
  15. Ummm....Sandeep, how about in the middle of a very important meeting?
  16. Thanks Pieter. Makes sense now.
  17. Pieter, I see a little diagram that looks like a pie chart on the Take-Off Data sheet. Any idea what that is?
  18. Speed indicator gone haywire? I mean, twice the speed of approach - the pilots would have picked it up. They had 10 miles out to configure the a/c and make sure everything was okay before landing! This is interesting and I'd certainly read through the investigation report, if I get hold of one...
  19. well, if you speak loudly into your mobile, your sound starts to crackle over at the other end.
