  1. Kandiah, Yes, they just took delivery of 2 if I'm correct, both ex Virgin Atlantic Guess, they'll start with 767-300 first, before upgrading to 747's ?
  2. Further "news" was made public today by our CEO: "we will BUY 3 F100's from aircraft broker Debis. The aircraft have been flying for Indonesian carrier Pelita. The aircraft were built in 1993 and 1994, which will make them the youngest aircraft in our F100 fleet. The first two are expected to arrive at the end of November (2005). The third will follow at the end of December (2005). They will go into planned production by April next year, so that leaves us time to train additional cabin- and cockpit crew through the winter period. We will also have time to bring them up to KLC standards technically". Unfortunately, this will most probably mean removal of the LEATHER seats and replace them with the standard CLOTH KLM seats Wonder, what will happen to the built-in "folding" stairs (a la DC9) fitted on these 100's .... so, they will be bought and not leased from Debis...
  3. Captain, you're RIGHT: flights were in- and out-of Subang, NOT KLIA sorry
  4. Liau, Love to see the fortices off the MD11 winglet: great picture
  5. Guys, Just read the bulletin about KLM's new winter schedule. It will commence at the end of October. Once again KLM and Air France have coordinated their flights. KLM flights to Malabo (SSG) will be discontinued, however passengers to this destination can fly with AF via Paris (CDG). KLM will be taking responsibility for the flight to Kuwait (KWI), so AF pax can fly with KLM via Amsterdam (AMS). KLM will also take over AF's flights between AMS and Bordeaux (BOD) with a Fokker F70 from KLM cityhopper. This will be flown twice daily. KLM will seize the flights between Rotterdam (RTM) and London City (LCY). Eindhoven (EIN) will get three daily flight to CDG; operated by AF. EIN-AMS will be discontinued in December, due to better/faster train connections, by the Dutch Railway, between these cities. Business Jet As per October 30th, KLM will offer six weekly BBJ flights between AMS-Houston (IAH) on a 737-700 from PrivatAir. The plane will be equipped with 44 seats. This flight is in addition to its regular daily 747-400 service to IAH. The 767-300 service will be dropped for the BBJ flights. KLM will also add a new African destination to its network; three time weekly 767-300 flight to Entebbe (EBB) in Uganda. On flight to Nairobi (NBO) bigger aircrafts will be used. More pax can connect on KLM's partner Kenya Airways (KQ). Also a new destination is Hyderabad (HDD) in India with a MD-11 three times a week. KLM will also increase flight to Dubai (DXB) from seven to twelve times weekly. The Airbus A330-200 is now operated between AMS-Washington Dulles (DUL). In the winter Newark (EWR) will be added. At the end of the winter season Bahrain/Abu Dhabi (BAH/AUH) will be added to the A330-200 routes.
  6. Issac, Flew on 9M-AAA between BKI-KUL and v.v. Spring 1999; Can only remember a flight-safety card in the seat-pocket and no menu What I DO remember is that their meals on both stretches were quite sedap
  7. Sanjay, Take a look at the link below: http://www.spicejet.com/general-air-travel-faq.asp Regarding your food question: they serve water and free light snacks
  8. Nope, In fact, BFS was served by F28-4000 up to a few years ago, but was stopped for commercial reasons: no high-yield market there...perfect for EZY, though... Guess, you've to travel via DUB (code-share with EI) in order to make advantage of KLM's fares between (Northern)Ireland and Malaysia, via AMS
  9. Guys, Here's a list of aircraft featured with football noses in view of the championships in Germany in 2006; the 747's and A340 might be of interest to you: 4x 737's: D-ABEB, D-ABIN, D-ABXN, D-ABET 2x 320's: D-AIQM, D-AIQR 2x 747's: D-ABVE, D-ABVL 1x A340: D-AIGS Azahan, would be nice to catch the 340 with this nose with your Bigma
  10. KLM Cityhopper will get 3 new F 100's... 11444 PH-OFL 11475 PH-OFM 11477 PH-OFN all 3 are ex Pelita and currently at Dinard in France with TAT... 1st one to be delivered is expected in AMS around December 2005...
  11. Guys, Here's a link of some nice old pictures and movies of Air France !!! Enjoy it http://www.airfrancelasaga.com/en/switched_streaming.html
  12. Sanjay, try this link: http://www.flugzeugbilder.de/show.php?id=338297 no titles yet, but it show their livery: quite spicy indeed I should say
  13. L1011 still with the Thai flag on the tail
  14. Sanjay, Spicejet is a new Indian airline, operating with 737's: nice colour-scheme btw
  15. Ben G, Nose landing-gear of the A320 is always slightly angeled...see various shots at A.net for instance
  16. Azahan, You're welcome here in AMS in January on a crystal clear -10 degrees day Sure, you'll be able to get an IL96 in SU n/c on her way to LHR from the Schiphol viewing deck WITH contrails and even the regi readable with a 1500mm
  17. With "Direct TV" on board, passengers could see "their" own emergency landing on screen, I suppose Great series of pictures: thanks for sharing, Denny Rozhan, It shows the sturdiness of the nosewheel construction
  18. Bing, It could have been avoided when you told him/her your PNR-adress (Passenger's Name Record), IF you would have known that ! That there are still empty seats, even if they say "full flight" could be caused by noshow passengers, misconnections or weather related issues. I think, it's hardly caused by "double" bookings; it's good for stand-by passengers, though
  19. Edwin, Sigh.........pictures 3, 4 and 5 really make me homesick Reminds me of BKI-KUD-BKI last year
  20. WOW Norman, These Cessna's and panels look like BRAND-NEW: VERY well maintained I should say....thanks a lot for sharing, just loved them My trainers in Florida looked like crap when seeing this
  21. Can confirm this About 4-5 times a day, during work-hours, I usually wetten the fly: it really works as you really tend to "wipe it off"
  22. Lucky you It's really flying around, being in VIE last weekend
  23. That's typical Dutch weather Will be visiting the "Luftwaffe Museum" in Berlin-Gatow next week, after seeing great pictures on www.flugzeugbilder.de of the collection there
  24. Just bad luck, Charles, in fact 2 parked next to eachother now (PH-MCF and PH-BUH) MCF will go to DOH, SHJ and TSN BUH came from TSN, NKG, BKK and SHJ...
