  1. Really love this shot! If you could get nearer & 'poke' your lens through the fence, the 'outcome' would have been much more awesome
  2. Wonderful stuff leejauhi! Thanks for sharing
  3. Hmmm.... looks like Y-class passengers on the maindeck will not be able to access the upperdeck. Interested to see Row #1 starts from the upperdeck. Wonder what's the middle thingie in the last 5 rows of Y seats Thanks for sharing Nick
  4. Taking D7 to OOL (or JQ to SYD) and then by DJ or JQ to NZ is a good choice since you can visit 2 countries in one go. However bear in mind that you have to pay Australian International Departure Taxes twice, which cost a lot! If you intend to visit NZ only, i guess BI is the cheapest ex-M'sia. Sometimes they offer very special 'BlueSky' fares via their website. ~or~ If you go to their office (or travel agents), they sometimes have 'Buy Now, Pay Less' fares & GV2/GV4 fares. Cheers!
  5. It was a great day (18Apr) I must say Do check out my shots @ BKI Spotting V2
  6. Ya, but ALL the flights today landed & took off @ 02 including MH80. Only the 2 KE 744 was given the privilege of 20 landing. That intrigued me. Ah, those 'ramp' shots... heh heh... actually taken from the MAS admin building. Hanging out at the staff cafeteria with a bunch of 'kakis' who work there. Great view of ramp activities but unable to see runway activities.
  7. Interesting thing to notice, both KE 744 landed @ RW20 while the rest @ 02 1st 744 parked @ bay A3, while the 2nd one @ A5 Here're some shots of the 1st 744 during pushback. Enjoy!
  8. IIRC MH80 (B772) from KUL enroute to NRT will arrive around the same time. With 3 heavies together, not to mention MI, KA & BI also around the same time. THAT WILL TRULY BE AN AWESOME SIGHT THIS FRIDAY!
  9. ING insurance (Korea) incentive group chartered flights this time, arrive in different batches. AIG, Avon, Amway...etc.. did their incentive tours to BKI in such a manner before.

  15. How about the new Sukhoi Superjet 100? Should be able to get a much better deal from the Russians & Sukhoi since we bought a few of their SU-30s & paid so much to send our man to space.

  20. A good airport, in my opinion.... 01. Good air-conditioning! (Hate those with A/Cs running at 'full blast' yet still feel warm & stuffy) 02. With clean and working toilets (that never run out of toilet rolls!) 03. Lots of varieties of airlines (spotters' paradise) 04. Able to view the entire tarmac, glass(window) panels must be of non reflective material. 05. Lots of F&Bs and shopping outlets (pricing must be same as elsewhere, without any surcharge! But can be cheaper) 06. A big model aircraft store with lots of varieties. 07. A Nice Dating Location (or a great family outing location) for non flight passengers. 08. Easy access with frequent public transporation & Free Parking! 09. Efficient check-in, security, immigration, baggage handling & NO customs! 10. Nice public parks, cafes, restaurants or hotels around the airport perimeter with unobstructed views of the air traffic.
  21. Great composition Sam! Keep it up! Keep it up!
  22. My turn to post. I was there on the final day Feb24. A380 Galore! Cheers & Enjoy Backing in after her demo flight Those massive wiiings! Learn a new exclamation word today! WWOW! Someone familiar? Monsieur Jacques Rosay! The A380 program's chief test pilot 18mm stretched to the limit! Shout one more time! WWOW! All vehicles had to queue up to let the KC-135 pass by A note to the organisers: Must solve traffic woes. Queueing for land transport (of any kind) to & fro wasted too much precious time. And it was damned hot, red like a chili lobster that day. 2 years for them to figure out.....
  23. I see the future! ....for the future looks bright for us plane spotters I see A380 landing @ RW02..... and B741 Pan Am Clippers @ bays A1-4... that can't be right? and Iberia B747s? ... the future looks weired...... SNAP! Wake up!
