  1. If an MH employee has used that language, then you are right, it should be reported and the employee responsible sacked.
  2. Totally agree. Make MH a class act again with a modern fleet, great products and an innovative approach to service. I think it's time to ditch MH F. Make passengers want to fly a great new MH C product and improved Y class.
  3. I saw the article on A.Net also. If the KLM T7 SKYTEAM livery aircraft is to be painted as illustrated in the thread then I think it is spoilt by the KLM logo at the front of the aircraft. It just doesn't look right or nice. I know KLM will want some branding but I'd look at alternative designs. Quite honestly, I'd rather the bird was painted in the regular KLM livery which is so cool.
  4. Flying SQ out of LHR you really should have no problems at all with your luggage. As stated above the luggage nightmare last year @ LHR was due to BA moving services to Terminal 5 without BAA & BA properly testing their systems. Enjoy your trip.
  5. Pieter, Aren't the KLc Embraer E-190 great looking planes? Spotted PH-EZB on it's 2nd rotation to a cloudy GLA this morning. Got to book a seat on one of these birds soon. Regards, Ken
  6. Pieter, Good News Finally got to see "De Zwaan" today 20/02/09 (KLM 43L) on a R23 approach @ GLA. What a magnificent sight. Lovely retro paint job. I see GLA is to get a daily visit by KLM Cityhopper "Jungle Jet" (Embraer E-190) from the end of March. I've read the KLc E-190 fleet is now 3 frames. How many more aircraft are due this year? Bad News Not happy with upcoming AF/KL FFP changes. Think this will drive many loyal KL customers to * Alliance. Regards, Ken
  7. Awful. Just looks like a rehash of the Cityjet logo.
  8. KLM B738 Retrojet Pieter, The photos on a.net of "Zwaan" are great. Well done KLM. Hope to see her on a daylight GLA approach. Regards, Ken
  9. KLM B738 Retrojet Pieter, Read on A.net that it's to be resprayed with the 60's diagonal two tone blue tail design. I personally prefer the late 60's horizontal two tone blue tail design. Either why I hope it gets a daylight rotation to GLA once it's out the paintshop and I manage to see it on a Runway 23 approach. Ken
  10. I'm suprised the Commission have asked BAA to sell Edinburgh. I would have thought if Ferrovial were going to offload a Scottish airport it would have been Glasgow. Reckon Ferriovial would want to keep it's prestige capital airports LHR and EDI. EDI has gone from strength to strength in recent years attracting good trans-atlantic and European business routes. GLA has struggled to get any decent new direct European business routes. Apart from good old KLM and EK GLA is really an LCC and "bucket and spade" (holiday) airport these days which is a real shame. Wonder if Ferrovial will fight the EDI selloff?
  11. Terrorism is no laughing matter. As someone whose local airport was affected by this incident I'm proud Mr Smeaton (GLA Baggage Handler) gave these two pieces of lowlife a good kicking. The thought of petrol and nail bombs going off in a packed terminal building on one of the busiest days in the airport year (Glasgow Fair Holiday) doesn't bear thinking about.
  12. MH full entry into Skyteam. MH to get A380 in 2009 not 2011. AF/KL Group to offer a daily direct service between GLA and CDG v.v. KL to improve in-flight Y passenger comfort on long-haul. KL CEO should be made to sit for 12 hours in middle seat of 10 abreast on 77W. See if he likes it.
  13. KLM B738 Retrojet Pieter, Got any info on this? Would love to see a B738 in old KLM livery. Regards, Ken
  14. I also would prefer MH to join Skyteam however I'm not sure this will ever happen given AF's dominate role in Skyteam. Can't see a BA/QF/MH merger working either.
  15. To get to Bristol from London Stansted would require a train into London, a tube (underground) trip to London Paddington station and another train to Bristol. A 3-4 hour expensive journey. Save yourself the hassle and fly to BRS with KL/KLc As stated in an earlier post TGV is the highspeed rail network operated by SNCF in France.
  16. I agree with Pieter, KUL-AMS-BRS would be the best option if availability and price is OK. I'd avoid Paris and London to be honest as transiting CDG or LHR is a nightmare. There is no TGV between Paris and London. There is however Eurostar.
  17. Mamma Mia! What next in the saga of AZ? Only in Italy ...
  18. KLM Cityhopper Embraer E190 PH-EZA Pieter, How's the new bird doing? Saw the AMS delivery arrival videos on youtube. It looks really nice in KLM colours. Some nice shots of the aircraft on airliners.net (the AMS arrival shot is my desktop wallpaper at present!). Shame Glasgow won't get a visit. Regards, Ken
  19. The web booking engine on the Malaysia Airlines UK website is really shocking. Trying alternate dates while searching for fares to KL ex. LHR displays incorrect data (wrong dates + wrong route!) Using Ithe E7 browser with a standard setup. These bugs and ridiculous taxes & surcharges are really not good enough MH.
  20. KLM may be happy with the 77W but a lot of their passengers are not. 10 abreast in the Y cabin with a 31" seat pitch for 10+ hour flight ain't my idea of acceptable comfortable travel. Charging an extra €50 for exit rows seats is mean also. Some travellers are already avoiding these aircraft. I sure hope MH don't follow the KLM sardine tin Y cabin experience if they go for the 77W.
  21. More depressing news from MH. As the competition moves forward MH continue to fudge fleet renewal plans. Is there no vision within the organisation? MH really are starting to look like a second rate carrier.
  22. Pieter - thanks for the delivery flight details. Do you know if KLC E-190 will have IFE fitted as I've seen other airlines E-190 cabin interior photos with seatback IFE units!!! I know they are short-haul metal but it would be nice to have a Holland Herald alternative. Cabin layout 2-2 throughout, no. of seats, seat pitch? Shame the Fokker 100's are being replaced as they are so quiet and quite comfortable to fly in however their reliability these days is not the best.
  23. KLM Cityhopper Fokker 70/100 Replacement - Embraer E-190 Nice photo of the 1st frame here :- http://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/pictures/embraer/e190_klm.asp Pieter, do you know the aircraft delivery route back to AMS? I would love to see it on approach to runway 23 at GLA. Might even try and fly from EDI to AMS and check out the new E-190 for myself. Shame GLA won't see them. Still like the old Fokkers though.
  24. Making fun of a news story where people have suffered lacerations and possible spinal injuries is in somewhat bad taste. Sounds like some air crew have been badly injured.
  25. Is it lack of passengers or just too darn expensive to fuel up a 744 at current aviation fuel prices?
