  1. Nice catch of the Gulf B777 Peter. to avoid being harass by the police, its better to spot from the weather station (try to avoid being spot by the police instead ). have a great time spotting in KUL/WMKK yeah...
  2. to add to those kampung-folks in Gong Kedak, those staying near Kuantan, Butterworth and every other air bases around the country too get to see free show.
  3. nice catch Teh Teh. BTW, did you asked Chaity to switch on the light or not?
  4. that's one good suggestion Kianhong. thanks for the information. but i doubt the authority over here would agree to such suggestion, knowing to well how selfish and arrogant they are.
  5. congrate guys, hopefully when more people know about this hobby, they will understand that plane-spotting is the same with other hobby such as fishing, collecting stamp or even climbing buildings. let it open the eyes of authority too, which all this while was really overzealous of our hobby. maybe those BUlis are jealous because we're having huge camera...heheheh..
  6. Avrane, any idea when the delivery date is? something new to shoot in SZB...
  7. how come ipoh airspace so blue haaaa... got Qantas Dugong overfly ipoh haaaa....niceeeee.... A380 Capt: Ladies and gentleman, this is your Captain speaking. If you look out of your window, we are now flying above the constitutional-torn state in Malaysia.
  8. nice view of the treshold area from your office bro. unfortunately that area has been designated as a restricted area by the over zealous MAB Beredar team and the RMP Bulis. any M'sian flying A6-EYQ on 21/02/09?
  9. its very, very, very wrong as there might be some lunatic who would shot down an a/c on approach (the mentality and assumption of Bolehland BULIS and MAB Beredar).
  10. KUL is interesting as its more centralized but on the other hand, its becoming a nightmare to spotters. SZB is more spotter-friendly but traffic is very unpredictable and damn slow and boring. KCH & BKI, well, logistically too troublesome and traffic is as good as SZB at times. PEN logistically would not be a nightmare but having a large group gathering at any spot along the airport perimeter would definitely be inviting .... anyway, as Capt Radzi said, anything outside of KUL, its a bit difficult to say at this moment especially for those who got other commitment at hand...
  11. its funny that our local company are considering/willing to sponsor team outside of Bolehland instead of sponsoring local sports body. if AK want to sponsor MU, well, its OK with me. but if TNB, well they better don't complaint that they're not making profit everytime they want to increase the electricity tariff and at the same time splashed out hundreds of million of RM to sponsor a football team hundreds of miles away from our shore.
  12. that is a must, Capt. its once in a lifetime experience if anyone is able to catch AF1 in KUL and better still if can get to see Mr President with one's own eye. but then again, it would be almost impossible to catch AF1 and its supporting a/c in KUL if Mr President really is coming to town. even on any ordinary day its tough enough to spot in KUL with Beredar & Bulis harassing spotters.
  13. Pieter, cutting down those trees (oil palm tree) is not an option to MAHB/MAB Agriculture-Horticulture. at that sort of age, each oil palm tree cost no less than RM3000.00 and at the moment it is bearing oil palm fruits = $$$$. prunning (cutting) down the frond (leaves) won't help much as every 5 weeks new frond (leaves) going to grow.
  14. makes me wonder, since when does KUL become a target for terrorist? how is it that other airports round the world where terrorist threat is very much a real thing, do allow people to hang around the airport perimeter watching a/c land and take off? I had, a few weeks back, question a BULIS-man on why didn't they prevent buses, taxis and private cars from using the road as it is a restricted area, and his answer was....NO ANSWER!! #@*!&$^@*#&*@&(@*!)#*
  15. KC, very, very nice exterior and interior coverage of SQ brand new A330...
  16. if that fella really is involved with KLIA East@Labu Labi project, then he sure has got some serious arithmetic mixed-up for him to come up with such statement. in the first place how did the know that KUL has a wrong radar? or is he someone who has just got axed from supplying the radar system to KUL before?

    Help

just my 2 cents Capt, since you have flown the B747 before, why don't you come back to the B747 fleet. its like...sirih pulang ke ganggang lah Capt. (anyone care to translate the last part). as for the A330 fleet, well, its just not your taste, very un-Canon like...hehehehe!
  18. it seems that the schedule for SQ A380.... Ooooppss..sorry, A330 training flight is almost the same as their A380 schedule last year. is it 6x daily or 4x daily?
  19. thanks for the info KC. unfortunately, weather in KUL is as mundane and gloomy as in TLS on SQ A330 delivery day. there might be a few ultra-hardcore KUL spotters in KUL this evening, you'll never know...
  20. Faridz, really nice coverage of the RTAF Open Day. RTAF does a good job in keeping their 'antic' prop in good condition and flyable, not to mention the modification they made to those aircraft (ejection seats etc). can't wait for your coverage of the up coming event, Al Ain Airshow.
  21. what's with the AFRS truck in the background?
  22. My condolence to Mr Paulo Emanuele family and to Airliners.net crew. May he Rest in Peace.
  23. Huhuhuhu....there's one super duper diehard, hardcore spotter in KUL... Now Someone Can Spotting...
  24. the Capt of the flight should have been informed earlier of this hostile passenger by ground crew of the departing airport, am I right? and again by his flight crew, correct? before the hostile passenger even board the a/c, there must be some security officers escorting him to the a/c and thus would have create attention by other passengers & flight crew. my point here, MH ground crew should have taken the necessary action in giving the bugger suitable seats in the a/c. i don't blame the flight crew in such instances, its the ground crew that's supposed to be responsible. to make things worst, no immediate action by Customer Service is really, really, really bad.
