  1. This is shocking and sad sad news. I was under the impression that CM will turn over Malaysia Airlines under MAB to be sustainable and well managed. Now that seems even more difficult to achieve.
  2. I am just wondering, it is April 2016 now... and based on CAPA's analysis there should be a BKI base here now for MAB. Has that materialized? I haven't notice much changes really.
  3. hopefully a test flight to BKI. As for interiors, if I were to expect a B744 I would be quite disappointed. When I last flew with MAS to LHR on B744, I really hoped they retire the fleet ASAP because... you know. yeah you know.
  4. Definitely there has been delays. I personally know there has been delays, or rather, 2 flights combined to 1, to Lahad Datu. The earlier flight was 'cancelled due to technical issue' and pax were moved to a later flight. And this has happened twice. Food vouchers were given and pax had to wait for about 2 hours for the next flight. As for ATR72-600 series (AT76), I only know of one AT76 active in MasWings, MYD though I haven't seen her flying lately. AT76 MYB & MYC has been transferred to Subang, for Firefly presumably. No idea where is MYA. So much subsidy gone into MasWing and its bleeding heavily. Oh my. Proton? EDIT NOTE ADDED: FR24 MasWings Fleet database: https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/maswings-mwg For AT76s, MYD last flown on 18/3/16. MYA, MYB, MYC no info. (though elsewhere me and Jahur did mention MYB & MYC transferred.) Difficulty with AT75 is it does not broadcast ADS-B like AT76/A320/B738 so data could be lacking for tracking.
  5. Higher DCA charges for a B744 under new charges, I wonder whether they will still go ahead? Such a bad timing we all got excited seeing her being repainted and all sorts and now the new DCA fees just dampen our spirits.
  6. present visibility at WBKK: ATC: pilot: Tower, from holding point November we cant see Tower. We can barely see Times Square. Tower: Roger thank you. XXT diverting to BRU 1 AK A320 diverting to LBU 1 AK A320 attempting to land runway 20.
  7. She (XXT) is coming again! Too bad the haze is quite bad now.
  8. 9M-XXT just visited BKI this evening... xcintillating phoenix livery looks nice on FR24 image wonder anyone got her? or light is unsatisfactory already when she arrived? EDIT note added. Yup she arrived at 7pm so no chance
  9. That's correct, it is under Singapore FIR. Though Indonesia has plans to take over airspace abeam Natuna Ranai, not sure whether it will materialize.
  10. well... let's take it as a charted flight. Charted flights and extra flight do operate as 8xxx. Strange tho it shouldn't be peak season now until the next school holiday, so having 2 A333 to BKI is intriguing. The demand will be there no doubt, but also maybe AK's pilot are moving on? Hence the change of aircraft? I see whether I can dig out any info.
  11. That is what I observed.
  12. shortage of A320 Pilots? Nice to have a widebody aircraft showing up daily to BKI though until mid June.
  13. there is a CAPA analysis titled: "Malaysia’s Malindo Air to pursue faster expansion following rebranding and fully embracing FSC model" that is published today.
  14. interesting visitors from USAF
  15. good pics! fine weather for spotting but I guess it's really hot under the sun! don't get dehydrated! By the way any chance that the SQ B744F 9V-SFQ pic can be restored so we can see it here? Early greetings but Happy CNY to all!
  16. hm that's strange unable to load WP's pic of the Singapore Airlines Cargo B744. On the other hand was anyone listening to ATC when the B744 came to BKI approach/departure on the 29/1? The wbkk liveatc feed somehow did not have a recording of it in archive.
  17. Grrrahhhhhh me too I so wish to see the Singapore Bird in BKI with my own eyes arghhhh missed it few years ago and now again!! Terrible!!!!
  18. Yup it's really sad to watch but well said people at AMS still cared about MH and gave the last flight a good farewell. I can't see clearly on my small mobile screen but the stewardess standing beside the poster also seems to be going through her emotions. With the codeshare with Emirates starting soon I however don't see MH will be back at AMS for the foreseeable future, sadly.
  19. B752 N757MA is heading to BKI now. Not sure whether it is just a refueling stop or a longer stop hopefully it stays until tomorrow for picture opportunities for those who want to spot her.
  20. A400M has been a regular at TWU since last year after the 1st delivery of the A400M to TUDM. As it is trackable via ADS-B so will show on FR24 if they have it turned on.
  21. Sad news, as AT76s are trackable on FR24. I used to track the BKI-LDU-BKI leg as I have relatives there. Wont be possible now with the transfer of the fleet to firefly.
