  4. Hi, I am heading to NY on 5th Nov. I have called MAS to get my seat pre-assigned. I told the lady on the phone that I need a seat that gives me more leg room, someting like the first row right after the door or something, and I want a windows seat. So she assigned me seat 28A. But she was not sure if the so-called window seat comes with or without a window, or if I can get out from my seat without disturbing another passanger in process. Can someone check for me please? Flight Dept from KLIA: 5th Nov, Type: 744 Reg: N/A Thanks guys... Ben-G

Look at the car park... do you dare to park your car at the basement level which is: 1. Poorly lighted.. wait.. what light? 2. Constantly flooded at the main gate area We always heard of officials going to middle east la, europe la for all kind of "study trip" to BETTER SERVE THE GOVERNMENT... and PEOPLE. Why go so far. Look at Changi, the terminal 1 still look brand new after, I dunno, how many years? Ben-G

  16. Tsen Tsan, Just sent you the photo via Gmail. Please let me know if you have received them. Transtar looks good, but I had REALLY bad experience with their counter service in KL. 1. I sat down at the counter, wanted to book ticket. Before I can even open my mouth, the young lady stood up, went to the table immediately behind the counter and started chit chatting. WTF? 2. The other counter girl, finally finished talking to one of the driver (work related) and wave at... another lady who came later than me. I told my GF out LOUD: lets go take Nice. what kind of SERVICE is this and walked off. Personally, I would very much wanna try the bus, but this experience just put me off. Ben-G

  19. I got a in-flight visit approval when I was VERY young (Read: 12 yrs old I think) when I was traveling to Taipei onboard China Airline CI672 A300 from Singapore. I basically asked the F/A, she said she can pass the message but no guarantee. I went back to seat and next thing I know, the F/A come around and lead me to the cockpit. I was too excited to greet the captain properly. I remembered I mumbled something of that sort and noticed the central display has a huge red spot. The captain seems busy with that so I asked what's that red patch on the screen. He briefly told me that represents the typhoon going through philipine that time and he was plotting course correction to avoid the typhoon. I think he was worried that I will go back and tell everyone about the storm thereby creating unnecessary fear among pessanger so he quickly send me out. Short visit, but surely a trip I will never forget. Ben-g
  20. Ground marking are for ground crew to ensure the plane is parked at the correct position relative to the door / skybridge position. I think if the plane is parked too deep in or vice versa the bridge will have problem docking with the door. Remember that the skybridge's movement is limited to a small box. so its important to get the plane parked at the correct position Ben-G
