iwan 3 Report post Posted December 11, 2007 that was the first time ive seen a heli flip like that..tapi bunyi rotor macam nak pecah la towards the end of the flip..hehe..i couldnt get any good pics of the MiGs on my first day..too fast for my shaky hands..got sum good ones of the red arrows thou.. formation very close to the spot i was standing.. wonder whats the use of this vehicle.. here trying my best to block the sunrays out! some heart stopping moments as usual from the red arrows.. again very close.... HEART SHAPE!wonder which girl can appreciate this as a valentines gift.. doing their tukar2 tempat thing.. again,very close!!the sound was deafening! and my shot of the day!! enjoy~~ Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
iwan 3 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 wahhh..sleeping has never been this good..very tired from the LIMA journey home...but here are some more of my pics.. next up were the much awaited Su-30MkMs..was so happy to see it taxying down the tarmac..didnt get good shots of the take off thou..camera tak larat.. and thats her coming back after a breathtaking display..i noticed that they were not using the same place for their displays..everyday tukar2... kids having a good shade under the adnan...supposed to be involved in the mock assault on the airport but tak boleh start kut.. during lunch break..an F/A-18D suddenly zoomed past and caught everyone by surprise..i have a feeling that the pilot intended it as he was flying real close~! only managed to get a pic of her taxying.. those are the luckiest AK passengers...you dont get an F-18 moving that close to you everyday..sorry for the quality of pic.. a private jet landing soon after..what a cool way to attend LIMA! 4th december AFTERNOON SESSION potential Nuri replacement arriving at LGK.. the hornets were up next..bottom guy almost got stuck on the tree.. showing us a view of his beautiful canopy.. the eurocopters candidate for our new Heli getting ready to show his stuff! and later out of nowhere.. with a different wing configuration..no nice fire 'farting' shots today.. the ancient MiGs were up next.. letting go what looked like 'masuk angin' flares.. and a shot with his drogue chutes.. surya kiran went up.. only to lose one of its wingman right after takeoff..might be due to technical problems.. and this resulted in a very weird 8 plane formation.. This was taken when the Sukhoi was doing it's acrobatics. You can tell from the flag. Landed in LGK and greeted by this big signboard and heliconia sky. After taking this shot, airport security came and said no photograph on the tarmac. iwan 3 Report post Posted December 13, 2007 (edited) whoaa...should have spoken to her also..but she got her hands full already,taking pictures for the guys at that time..she mentioned in the star that she would love to one day be in the seat in one of our Su-30s..with our current pilot shortage problem,i think she will get her wish pretty soon.. chaity..having lunch up there ka? i was also stopped by a guard while taking pictures of the MiGs on the tarmac when i arrived.. JERNAS anti air missiles..for those who 'couldnt see' the jernas from the earlier pic with the airasia girls.. sum of my takes on the red arrows.. a red version of the HEART!bad weather thou.. after a few attempts of getting 'gambar langit' i finally managed to catch this! and another one.. i knew exactly what they were going to do so i waited...waited...waited...and boom!orang tamak selalu rugi.. this was taken from the tarmac on the 8th.. rolll~~~ taken on the 6th from the other side of the airport.. enjoy~~ Edited December 13, 2007 by iwan Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

izhar 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2007 Capt. Patricia Yapp is the first female Mig29 pilot in TUDM. The first ever female fighter pilot in TUDM is Lieutenant Colonel Emilia Kamaruddin. She received her wings in 1988 and the aircrafts she used to pilot were Pilatus PC-7, Aermacchi MB339, Skyhawk, Hawk and Aerotiga MD3. Some pictures of her:- Back then.... Now.... Side topic: All in a day of LIMA... one day..ibrahim,iwan and hazeman when to the Langkawi international airport to watch the bi-ennial LIMA airshow.. inside the exhibition hall.. ibrahim looks very happy..note the very nice MiG-29N cap 'slightly' highlighted by me..(iwan eyes enviously).. now u see it..now u dont! ibrahims cap tercicir somewhere!iwan feels just as tension as ibrahim.. ibrahims is happy again... hehe..jangan marah ye ibrahim..
