ICAO Prohibits Lithium-ion Batteries as Commercial Cargo on Passenger Aircraft

Recommended Posts

hmmm, as far as I understand; no more notebook or tablet computers can't be carry by passenger in cabin. Also paperless cockpit turns to paperly cockpit because of no EFB anymore.

is it true?

If one is to split hairs, what that is not mentioned is the case for the many gadgets with lithium-ion batteries already pre-installed :)

Also, prohibition applies only to pax aircraft - does this mean crew on freighter flights are ..... well, a bit more dispensable ?! :pardon:

As I understand, this only applies to hold cargo - pending new rules on how the packing should be done. Consumer devices carried by pax and crew are not included in this ban.
