BKI/WBKK 2014

Recommended Posts

Issue now is LCCT Terminal 2 only has one entrance and exit shared with three other hangar. Can be problematic during peak hours

i guess LCCT don't even bother or don;t want to care about the issue, as long as air asia at BKI is making money. I was looking at another photo earlier, only 1 lane enter and 1 lane exit? KCH has 4 lane double deck and still jammed during peak hours, needless to say if only 1 lane

At BKI it doesn't matter even if you have a six lane super highway running through, drivers here will make sure they find way to double, triple, etc park on the side until such time access is by inching through half a lane :D

oh ya, you reminded me of the double park case happened at KK video in fb that gone viral. Couldn't agree more.

Went to see some planes yday at Jalan Selangor. Indeed the 1 taxiway for entry/exit to T2/Sabah AIr/Police Air Patrol is problematic. An A320 just landed from runway 02 has to make 2 U turns (exit runway by turning right to taxiway, re-enter runway, then to taxiway to T2) to go to T2 as there was another A320 waiting to exit the taxiway from T2. @.@

Aircraft parked at the "Fokker lounge". They are still using that name, right?

A rare visitor on a rare day when runway 20 was being used. Short refueling stop.

Air Asia Zest A319

DSC_0964_zpsa38f1b47.jpg

Any chances of Air Asia painting this plane in usual red livery?

The A320s should be repainted when they come in for maintenance - but I think the A319s might be returned once the lease expires.

A few old Zest Air aircraft already bear the new red livery with Airasia Zest titles.

I have not checked who owns the A319s but I believe that Airasia will sell them if they are owned and return them if they are leased. They did say that they are consolidating their fleet.

Thanks to MIR for the information about the ROKAF C-130H short stopover at BKI/WBKK this afternoon. Can imagine a grueling 8 hours flight from Pearce AFB in Perth. ETA around 1400 and ETD around 1630 just now.

Thank you to the Republic of Korea Air Force for helping to find MH370.
