Cornelis Boersma 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) Goodday guys, Not sure it there is a topic about spotting in South-America. Since I've been there in June I want to open one with some nice visited airfields Quito is posted in the tread opened by KC Sim a year ago : http://www.malaysianwings.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=14020 Here I first like to kick off with LIMA, Peru: This is a great place, with lots and lots of old birds flying around / stored! Too bad the day of departure it was early morning with bad light, but still an impression of some stuff Lima has to offer. (All shots taken from terminal or from aircraft window) Unfortunately no special tails anymore, but still all kinds of BAe Avro RJ subtypes Former RNAF Fokker 60 Edited September 16, 2011 by Cornelis Boersma

Cornelis Boersma 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2011 We continue with BOGOTA (heavy!) Main purpose was: This: And this: But all the others made it one helluva day at Bogota El Dorado Airport! With this one I've seen all LAN Oneworlds (763, 320, 319) Seen some in regular livery and a special one Seen the entire Satena fleet in front of my lence, this was the most rare one I think; After the 50 and 100, another Dutch Lady in BOG, there where 2 of those, the 2nd in another livery. Shot some 737s of Aires in these and in normal livery. This hybrid one has now been painted in to LAN colors.

A re-engined DC-3, plus the Presidential Air Force plane (we saw that in the Japan spotting thread too), loads of other vintage and modern aircraft. Cornelis Boersma 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2011 My 2nd visit to BA Night arrival on AEP I saw the sillhouette of a F27 or F50 in the night The next morning I took a taxi to the runway and I just got out of the taxi when I saw sth like a F27 takeoff, I rushed to take my camera, couldnt get a good shot from the side as she departed right over me, but still... another old Dutch Lady next to the 2 F28s I saw in June The same runwayuse as in June, now I walked towards the taxipath to make shots of planes taxiing and line up A few regulars.
